  • Morning Diary,

OMG the weather is pants today, I reckon its because Im going out tomorrow night.

This winter I need to find myself a work coat which is smart with a hood on. I lived in my Superdry coat last year and is not ideal for work...although it kept me nice and dry.

    Hi Mummy,
I know, can you believe £200? She said I paid my fees a month behind so said my new fees don't start until the end of Oct. Then I thought hang on...DD is in full time school from Sept so that would be two months behind. So I text her and said should't I be paying my new fee from the end of September and she agreed it was her mistake.

Yes just get them back to school...mind you I think the hols have flown past. The kids were deffo ready to go back though, back to a routine.

I will have to change my meal plans now as DD is having tea with me most of the week, she ate at the childminders last school year. So the plan is bags away, tea cooked and homework out then bath and bed. Its a bit of a rush but will see how it goes.

Had a few SSD's this week and will be having another one today (£2.50 for my weekly visit to the canteen), yesterday I bought some breadbuns for DD's lunches, Tuesday was milk and chips. I got some Rapunzel edible cake toppers (£1.99) for the cupcakes to go with DD's rapunzel cake all being made by my own fair hands...with a bit of help from my cake making friend.

Wallpapering tonight, once the boudoir is finished then I will be hanging up my paint brush for a while.

  • Morning,
Well after a dramatic weekend its back to normality...which I am glad about as I wasn't feeling too well yesterday.

Friday night was traumatic, DD didn't want to leave me to go away with X so she ended up staying at home. Im very unhappy with the way X dealt with it and I am also unhappy that he blamed me  but I told him to grow up and be a Daddy which is the main thing.

Managed to get my wallpaper up in my boudoir, it looks fabulous. My friend came and did it for me which saved me a fortune and she has done a great job.

Almost finished the painting and glossing too but seeing as though I didn't get up until 3:30pm yesterday its hardly surprising I didn't finish. I did do a little bit, but was a bit concerned about the ladders, hangover and paint combo.

I keep getting loads of those little fruit flies in the house, I can't detect where they are coming from suspect its the orchid so it has been banished to outside again.

Spending this weekend wasn't too bad, although I did get a takeaway for tea last night as I was so tired and rough I couldn't be bothered to make anything (this is what annoys me about hangovers, they waste your day). Then on top of that was just the spends for my night out £50 (this is what I consider average for a night out).

So not too bad. Im making a list of food which I will need at the weekend and Ill put £30 petrol in my car. Ill have to think of something cheap and cheerful to do with DD next weekend although dancing starts again Saturday so thats the morning taken care of.

  • Morning all,

OMG its soooo cold today. I need to sort my heating out tonight as for some reason it comes on when my water goes on anyway (its bust), so I need to set the times the same. Its no good it coming on for an hour first thing in the morning though because its cold by the time we leave the house...will write a timer plan out today. Im also looking on line to see how you can make the most from the thermostats, valves and timer system.

Checked accounts, Ive got £108 for two weeks. So once petrol and food come out then maybe I will have something left at the end of the month to put back into the car pot (where I stole it from in the first place).

Fruit flies were deffo coming off the orchid so its going into the green bin...one flew out in the garden when I knocked it.

OK plan written for central heating and boiler man called (left message on machine). I'm feeling proactive. Oh also bought a carbon monoxide detector from Amazon for £13.

  • Morning,

Well I have got my winter clothes on today and the sun is coming out! Typical.

Finished painting last night and put all the paint (and equipment) into the garage, I have a tin to take back to B&Q so pleased with that. Ill do that Saturday before we go to Mr Ts for a top up of food and some petrol.

Had a phone call from my boiler man friend this morning, he is coming out to see boiler asap. Hope its not too expensive, he thinks he knows what the problem is and he doesn't seem to think itll cost much. I gave him a list of other jobs too ha ha. Funny that the list of other jobs I have are all the same as the jobs I did before I left my last house...obviously I cared enough to sort them out for my buyer!
I have amended the timer on the heating and all the valves, we were toast this morning so think it needs a bit of tweaking, it was still boiling when we left the house an hour later (so I was wrong). Thermostat is set to 19, that was too low in the other house but adequate for my new one.

Tonight I am going to the solicitors to write my Will and then I have my friend coming to attempt DD's cake with me, we will know if I need a larger tin tonight for Rapunzels skirt, this will allow plenty of time for delivery before party.

Just looking at car insurance because its due soon, Gocompare has come back with a quote £18 a month cheaper than what I pay now. Once I have got the best deal for car insurance then I will tackle home insurance.

  • Morning Livvy,

How did the solicitors go? Was it fairly straight forward?

Fab savings on the car insurance, hope you get a good deal on the others too xx

  • Hi Mummy,
Yeah it was really straight forward, probably because I haven't got much to divide up ha ha. I just wanted to make sure DD got everything as, at the moment it will all go to x. Agreed executers and custody for DD. I can only say what I would like as she will just go straight to x anyway. x

Well I can't think straight today because Im so tired and x really got on my nerves last night. You can tell Im tired because Im still thinking about it and its still annoying me.

Friend came last night to practise DD's cake, it looks fabulous but we are going to double up on the cake tins to make the skirt bigger next week...have to feed 15 little mites.

As I was bathing DD last night my builder friend came and he couldn't see anything wrong with the boiler, he thinks I might have fixed it myself when I changed the timer so hopefully no expense there. He took a look at my noisy loo and fixed that, he couldn't fix the window which won't open and the transformer is broken for the under counter light not the bulb. So a £0 spend so far.

Tonight is freezer frenzy, I need to check out both freezers and write down some meals ahead of my shopping trip on Saturday, I will plan exactly 14 meals and 10 lunches.

Trying to work out how £100 is going to last me two weeks when I need petrol and food too. I really don't want to have to borrow out of another pot as when I do have money in November it will be going to fill the gaps.

  • Hey Livvy, just read your diary and I'm super impressed with your motivation, you've got so many things done! And I love all the little pots you have for things, think I might steal that idea. Keep up the fantastic work and I look forward to reading some more.
  • Hi Missy,

Thanks for posting, nice to hear from you. I think the pots saved me from a fate worse than debt :rotfl:and I would recommend them to everyone x

Well Im feeling full of it today, I am back in organised mode.

Last night I got home, did DD's homework, made tea, found a tin of tuna at the back of the cupboard so made us both tuna sarnies for today (lol). Had a bath with DD and chilled on the sofa for an hour before going to bed.

This morning we were on time leaving the house and I feel super because Ive had sleep.

Have you seen the offer in Tesco for the Dyson? You get £100 off a new one with your old. So I thought, I know I will trade in my old Dyson and use my Tesco vouchers to get a new one for almost the same price its going to cost to get my old one fixed! So I logged on this morning and the cheapest price for the new Dyson is £239, this is with the money off (£60 not £100 written in very small print) for the trade in and you can't double up your vouchers for electrical goods...so thats that idea out of the window!

Tonight DD and I are having chicken nugggats and chips for tea and we are going to stick the wall sticker up in my bedroom to finish off my boudoir, I think I still need a picture but its not urgent. Girly night for us tomorrow night :D can't wait to chill out watching X factor and do our nails.

Ive got about 5 portions of mince in the freezer, so thats mince and dumplings and chilli con carne to make which will last 2 meals each. I will buy a couple of pizzas and chicken nuggats tomorrow as they're always good to have in, plus the lunch stuff then that should be all I need until pay day.

So today will be a NSD! Yipeee.

Im thinking DD's bedtime is getting too early, as she hasn't been tired this week. Maybe bath at 7 and bed at 8 for 8:15 sleep is a better option.

  • Hi Livvy,

Glad DD's cake is looking good!!

I did see an email from Dyson re trade in actually, hadnt seen the Mr T's one. I laughed to myself as DH said he wanted the new one on the advert (theres nothing wrong with our old one might I add!) so I forwarded him the email I received!!!

So im assuming you should be ok with the £100 youve got left until the end of the month? xx

Rubbish about the dyson offer livvy. I hate it when tesco do that, the same thing happened to me, I finally got OH to agree for me to spend the vouchers on an electric pasta maker, and when I happily went to order it, I couldn't use my vouchers as it was a company trading through tescos and not actually tescos. Very annoying!

Well done on gettin lots done, you've put me to shame, I did nothing yesterday!
