  • Morning,

Well I hope you all had a good weekend, I can't keep my eyes open this morning and Im in a right mood, as the d$$£% heads over the road from me had another party last night (its like every Sunday). I was seriously thinking of going and jumping up and down and shouting in their garden at 8 oclock this morning...or sending DD in with her singing and happiness.

Had another busy busy weekend, got lots of jobs done (stops me from spending) and I spent a whopping £5.50!!! This was on a little bit food, gf wraps (thanks Dawnybabes), and some ingredients to make our own rice crispie squares..nom nom.

Saturday we got up early and loaded the car up for the tip, cleaned the inside of the car, painted the front door black, made rice crispie bars, washed contents of wash basket and all the bedding. Used td for bedding and hung the rest out.

Yesterday I had my friends come round with some power tools to get the laminate up in the hall ready for my new carpets coming tomorrow :j, painted another coat on the front door, chipped away at the sillicone which was stuck round the toilet and the skirting boards and re-glossed them. I am really happy with the way it all looks now.

Ive got my car in for a service today, £140 before it needs anything doing and carpet fitters are £116 tomorrow...expensive week.

Dawny, have you tried to pepperoni gf pizzas in Tesco, the Bonta D'Italia? they are gorg and the closest thing to normal pizzas I have tasted. I love fresh pasta so will deffo have to try that in Asda and the garlic bread.

This weekend eaten from the freezer: pizza, diced potatoes and some chips. Tonight will be tomato and marscapone sauce (from the freezer) with gf pasta.

Todays jobs, pick up parcel from PO, pick up car from garage, pick up tablets from chemist, pop to Sainsburys local for tomorrow nights wine, milk and crunchy nut cornflakes (which we can't live without).

One more weekend to survive until pay day.

    Hi Mummy,

Honestly its awful, I literally only moved 3 mins away from my other house but I didn't hear any of it before being tucked away in a cul-de-sac. The police have been round to their house so many times, its a teenage young lad whose mum leaves him every Sunday night and he has about 25 people round (all of whom don't have volume controls or any thought for neighbours).
Apparently the mother is a bit of a nightmare too so I daren't approach her.
The lady I spoke to at the police said she had had about 6 calls about the same party. I have decided to stay up on a Sunday night until 11 as it dies down from about 11:15, then I won't get as annoyed, DD doesn't hear it once she is asleep.

Can you tell Im tired today lol? old grumpy pants.

Right, Ive had a little butchers at my account and I have £97 left in my everything else account and £150 in food and petrol. I will need £55 (ish) to fill up my tank as I am on half a tank now and I don't reckon it will last 2 weeks. I will also need some food to take us through to pay day...so say £20. Day out on Saturday should be about £30 (inc picnic) so hopefully by the end of the month I should have £100 left, taking into consideration I might need to spend bits and bobs here and there, plus I still have a tennar in my purse. I will then put this back into the house and emergency pot on pay day to help save for my curtains.

Im hoping that this month is a lesson and that I won't have too much month left at the end of my money again . Its a 5 week month next month  and I need to pay for DD's party and cake, I have already bought her a scooter, £15 from groupon and she would like the Barbie nail bar £25 too (both paid for out of birthday pot)...then thats it this year as I always make the mistake of going over the top.

    Morning all,
Old grumpy pants is back today as I didn't get an early night again last night...this time it was self inflicted though so kind of don't feel so bad.

I have my friend coming tonight who I haven't seen since Chrimbo so yet another night on the wine for me (aaargh). From tomorrow I will be able to restore some kind of order as I have a pressie to pop into my friends straight from work but after that its chill out time.

Popped home for the carpet fitters...5 hours ago!!!! Just getting a bite to eat and finishing my diary...obv doing the most important things first lol.

Bought some food in Asda's last night, spent £20. I didn't think I had spent that much but wine is the biggy (even though only a fiver). Didn't go off list though so feeling good.

Think Im going to pass out if I don't get this lunch down me.

    Afternoon all,

Tired again today...woe is me! Friend came last night and we had lots of red wine. This New Fab Life is starting to take its toll. I am starting my 3 days off the alcohol today, the bloke on the tv said you need 2/3 days off it a week to prevent scarring on your liver, so the new me is up for that challenge!

I have been reading the OS threads and I really like the challenge about not wasting food and how much you throw out. Tonight for my tea Im having the diced potatoes I opened on Sunday to make sure they don't go off. We waste so much stuff its unreal, however I think Im doing well with the old 'not doing a full shop' mini challenge, we are surviving on what we have left and those rice crispie cakes are still going strong, they have lasted the week and Ill do another batch at the weekend to save me buying the Kellogs packs.:A

Had a great idea this morning, Ive got loads of new carpet left over from yesterdays fitting so Im going to take a piece of the stripey stuff and get a rug made out of it for my hall. Think there is some where local that does it.

Popping to my mates after work to take her birthday pressie and then when I get home I will be getting my slobbing gear on.
Out again tomorrow night for play and tea at the Wacky Warehouse, I have a voucher booklet so will make use of that and see how much I can save...I have a free play voucher and 20% off food. Im just trying to think of a drink cheaper than a J2O...I don't like cordial.

I need to crack on with the hall, stairs and landing at some point to get it finished. The glossing needs touching up and Im scared I get it on the carpet so I have been frantically googling how to do it properly. Once thats finished then I need to put up my new curtain pole and paint the front of the front door...then that project is complete YIPEEE! Having a rest before I start on my bedroom.

Woman from the council called me back about the party noise and left a message on my answer phone :D

Hope they can do something about the noise :-(

I use the leftover wraps as a pizza base or line pie dishes and make "steak bakes" ds really misses them.

Have you looked at wheat free bakery direct ? The bread is fantastic -tastes real !!! They do a fab tiger loaf and wonderful baguettes. Ds loves the iced fingers and the doughnuts (I'm not so keen)

I HATE HATE HATE glossing so food luck on that !!

Can you believe I went to bed at 9:30 last night and next thing Im getting woken up at 11:15 by the neighbours standing outside my front shouting at each other (think they were talking but they don't have volume control). I closed my window and by 11:30 they had moved down the road opposite and were sitting outside some one elses front, luckily I managed to get back to sleep soon after.

Lady from council called and she is sending out a letter OMG.

Dawny, pls could you give me the recipe for steak bakes? I wouldn't have a clue where to start but they sound gorg.
I haven't looked at wheat free bakery direct, will order some bread off there as wheat free bread is normally just horrid.

Well I managed to put all my masking tape down around the carpet last night and paint the bits of black gloss on the bannister where the new carpet didn't cover. I took the masking tape off this morning and to my surprise I haven't got a single bit of paint on my new carpet. Just the white gloss to do now (groan), its a bit yellow at the bottom, I wouldn't care I took the old carpet up to paint but my new carpet doesn't have any pile at all on it so need to do some bits again. I got the glue off the skirting boards and the front door with WD40...I am turning into a DIY goddess.

Wacky visit tonight, I have the money in my purse to stop me over spending, plus the cp machine in there costs £1.50. I reckon we will spend about £13.

Used up the left over pasta sauce for my lunch today so it didn't go off. Also remembered something else I have got in the freezer to add to my meal plan. I think I will do an inventory tomorrow night.

Just having a little look at storage ideas for DD's bedroom. Toy box in next to match her room....£120! Shocking. Ikea have some better ideas for half the price.

    Hi Livvy

I really hope you get sorted with the neighbours - what a bl00dy nightmare for you, in your new house too. Let us know what hsppens re council.

Are you keeping a log of events? Sounds anal but when you hear about things like that on tv they always have a list of evidence. I sound like some sort of detective!

Enjoy your few days off the wine - you will enjoy it more when you're back on it :)
