  • Morning Diary,

The sun is deffo peeping through this morning yipeee. Im a bit nervous about sitting on the beach all day tomorrow in the rain...I'll just take rain coats and brolly and keep my fingers crossed for sun.

Im feeling pretty chuffed with myself today, I stayed off the wine in the Wacky last night and with all my vouchers I spent £9. That was for a play (free voucher), a slush for DD, my tea, DD's tea and one and a half J2O's.

DD and I having a pamper night tonight, we will do our nails and have a nice bath. We normally get a takeaway but I reckon that I can easily do chicken kebab and cheesy chips on what Ive got in.

Popping to Aldis on the way home for picnic food for tomorrow. Im going to be sensible, I have £15 in my purse for food and we should only need deckchair hire and ice creams tomorrow.

Thanks Mummy, I have just looked on ebay and apart from old tatty ones they're more expensive than the one Ive seen in Argos (£70). Ikea do them for £11 but they will need painting and they're smaller.

DF, I have spoken to the council this morning and the lady said that she has spoken to the landlord (the grandfather) and he is unhappy that this is happening and he insisted that it was because he was 17 on Monday and the party was to celebrate his birthday (are his birthdays every week?). So the lady from the council said that there should be an improvement on Sunday and if not they will start their investigation where I will have to keep a diary and noise monitors will be put in place. They think its their next door neighbours who have complained.

Well I have had another fab weekend but I'm still suffering today. We went to the beach and got rained off about 3, so we moved on to the pub and had a dance with some old friends. Got home about 8 which isn't too bad. DM's and DD's had a great time. :D

Spends for the weekend were £50, which isn't so bad, I wouldn't have spent as much if we hadn't have had to vacate the beach. I still have £130 in food and petrol and I'm now beginning to think that my petrol might last until Friday.

This week I need to start making my meal plans so I can make a start on my shopping list.

Painted my front door yesterday and made the finishing touches to the hall stairs and landing. I just need to paint the gate now, once thats done then Im going to have a break from painting for a while.

Managed to hang out all my washing yesterday...just got to iron it now yuk!

Right this month is an expensive DD month, so Fridays' pay has to spread further. I have her party and cake to pay for (pessies already bought), school shoes and school coat, clothes to wear at child minders and a few nice things for weekends. We already have uniform.

Next week I am off work all week and DD and I are out with friends Tues, Wed and Thurs so will deffo have to make packed lunches.

Careful planning is the key me thinks.

Ooooh guess what? No parties yesterday :j, the grandad made regular visits and I noticed the mum there at 9pm, not sure if she was kicking the kids out or not but after I heard them in the street at 9 the next thing I heard was him rolling home at 3:30am...which I can put up with seeing as though he wasn't shouting to his mates.

We were like drowned rats ha ha. Luckily we had a rain coat and a massive brolly but the guy who we hired the deck chairs and wind breaks off just sat and watched us carry them along the beach with 2 cool boxes and 2 kids. He didn't want to get his hair wet did he?

Well lets see how long it is before the parties start up again. I reckon they will leave it a couple of weeks until they think we've forgotten.

Im going to be driving into the petrol station on fumes LOL, just so I can say I only needed one tank of petrol this month.

  • Morning Diary,

Well I had another early night last night and slept like a log, I almost feel human again today.

Had a visit off the neighbour last night apologising for the noise from her sons parties. I have to say when I saw her pull up I was really worried (don't like confrontation) but she came in for a chat and she is as fed up as everyone else with his parties. So lets hope thats the end of it all now and we can move on.

Managed to do all my ironing and finish painting the front door. I think I need another coat on the door as there are some shiney and some dull bits, I will do those bits when I do the gate at the weekend.

Sorted money out this morning, should be able to save £100 from food and petrol pot so I will put that in the house and emergency fund towards my living room curtains.

September is going to be a quiet month decorating wise, I have enough on with DD going back to school and her birthday...must remember to book the Dyson man (Im making a list as I type).

I will have to get DD's school coat out and put it in the washer. I will sew the button back on and she can wear it this year too as it was a size bigger last year so should fit for a couple of months (another list item).

Shopping list is now complete based on meal plans. Im going to try to not over do it and stick to my list, try not to get carried away like I normally do lol.

Had M&S gluten free Chicken and mushroom bakes for tea last night and they were yummy. I had left them in the freezer as was thinking they weren't going to be my cuppa tea so I was pleasantly surprised. HM carbonara tonight, DD's fave.

  • Morning Diary,

Feeling a lot better today than I did yesterday, thought I was getting a cold and my tummy wasn't very well. But I have had a good sleep and feel a bit more human.

Today I am officially Old Mother Hubbard, I have got a tin of soup and a slice of gf bread for lunch and DD has got her last yoghurt, some cheddars and a wrap (with butter in lol). Its getting desperate now.

I got a steak out of the freezer for my tea and will have that with the diced potatoes also out of the freezer. I can actually see what Ive got in there now. DD is at her Dads after the child minders but she always comes back starving...make of that what you will.

I brassoed the numbers for my front door last night, despite being covered in black and the whole house stinking, I think I have done a good job. Ill get my drill out and put them back on tonight.

Ive called the carpet fitters as DD keeps pricking her toe on the nails poking through the carpet on the stairs from the gripper rods. He is coming back out this week to sort it (hope he doesn't wreck my paint work as Im sick of getting the paint out). Ive told her she must only wear slippers to go up the stairs mean time.

I have £112 left in the everything else pot and 66 miles of petrol left in the tank...Friday isn't so far away now but its been the longest month ever (I spent too much the first week after payday and have been catching up ever since).
    Jobs for tonight

    Freezer Inventory
    Numbers on Door
    Tidy carpet in garage
Put picnic basket and paint tins in garage

Im also going to get DD's school shoes spruced up, I only bought them in April and her feet haven't grown since...so thats her coat and shoes to do up. I can't believe its nearly the end of the school hols. Where has August gone?

  • Morning,
Its lovely and warm today, was pleasantly suprised.

Pay day tomorrow YIPEEEE :j! I won't get money off ex until Monday though but I don't have any plans for the weekend so won't need it. Ive been and set up my standing orders to move into my pots tomorrow. The balance of my pots at the end of August is £1156 and I have £112 in my everything else pot (left over from food and petrol). Thats divided (not equally) between 9 pots....in March it was at £5686 so thats an idea of how much I have spent getting old house and new house in order.

My aim for September is to get it back up a bit (although will be hard with both mine and DD's birthdays coming up) so I can decorate my front room. My new leather swivel chair hasn't arrived yet, they said it would take 14 weeks and they weren't joking (a long time for one chair!!!).

DD's party is £224 so if ex goes halves its £112 plus cake. Then there is Dyson man £80. Will pay for party out of Birthday pot as there will be £184 in there when its topped up.

My other work bag fell out of the cupboard this morning and threw £2 at me (will pay for my canteen lunch tomorrow). It also threw out a bag of yoghurt fruits which are now earmarked for part of DD's lunch tomorrow. So thats tomorrow taken care of then.

My get up and go has got up and gone this week. Tummy isn't very well and job is quite boring whilst I am waiting to move into my new role, just making a list of everything I do (Ive got the washing up syndrome) zzzzzzzzzzz.

Will put balance of pots on siggy then I can keep track.

  • I need to start thinking about writing a Will as I have just taken out life insurance so DD will be well off if I fall off my perch. Wonder if there are any cheap ones or freebies out there.

  • Morning Diary,

YIPEEEE its pay day!!! I have spent the morning with my head in my spreadsheet paying bills and transferring money right, left and centre. Almost spent up already LOL, this time every year I buy DD's autumn clothes so her budget has been blown in the Blue Cross Sale.

This afternoon I will leave work early to go to Tesco and then Ill pick up DD before I got to Aldi...my petrol fumes won't get me to the child minders and back to Tesco so best go straight from work (do not pass go, do not collect £200). I have my money off coupons in my purse at the ready, just got to remember about them when I get to the till.

Had a meeting with my boss today, he said new bosses are keen to have me moving to my new job asap...so best clean out the past 16 years of rubbish thats stuffed in my drawers.

Its meant to rain here tomorrow, so I think we will do some cleaning and build DD's toy box. Sunday we will spend the day gardening and painting the gate, hopefully the sun will shine for us (us meaning me and DD, as ex has sodded off on holiday again so I will have a little helper).

No frivolities for me at the weekend, I will use the time to recoup and have some nice time with DD, as next week we have lots of days out planned...I need to be well prepapred for these so I don't spend too much, its all about the planning...oh my how times have changed, makes a change from flying by the seat of my pants.
