  • Hi Missy,

They put it in the stupid small print (which you need a magnifying glass to see), I think they think they will get you to the till and you'll give in and pay full price. Well that was before MSE ha ha!

  • Morning,

Its absolutely freezing this morning, I need to get our winter coats out. DD has hat and gloves on.:snow_laug

Well my weekend has been the oddest one ever. DD is having massive seperation anxiety attacks when I leave her anywhere or when she goes with x. This morning she screamed the place down at the child minders bless her.

Well the £100 budget went out of the window. I pegged out the clothes and went shopping on Saturday and stuck to my list, however I spent £72 on food. I reckon its all the wheat free stuff that just costs a bomb. I did get my wf wraps at a discount price though, got 80p off each pack so bought extra for the freezer.
I put petrol in (£30) and popped to town for the bits and bobs I needed for DD's party bags (£10). M&S for a Percy Pig cake (for Friday) and some wheatfree cakes for the MacMillan coffee morning (£16) and tablets (£8). Hopefully I will have 8 NSD's from now until payday....Im going to have to dip into my pots again .

Yesterday I spent the day batch cooking, ironing and cleaning. DD is gone from 10-6 on a Sunday and I still can't manage to get everything done. Mind I did have DM turn up yesterday to drop a bombshell and then 10 mins after she left DF called with another bombshell. Have come to realise that my life is never going to be normal.

So I have meals planned up until October 2nd :D...should have been shopping again by then.

  • Morning,

Another cold morning for us, wooly jumpers and big coats out again. I will have to go in the loft and get the winter clothes out.

Paid for my Saturday spends this morning with some money out of pots. I must learn not to spend up every month the week after pay day.

No tears this morning for DD, she was happy to go to the child minders, so Im happy with that.

Wrapped her pressies last night and brought the eggs in to work for my friend to make her cake with...surprised I got them here in one piece this morning, I was like Frank Spencer.

Just carried out car insurance, after adding a couple of extras it came to £380 for the year which is still good as Im saving £13 a month and it has a very low excess which I am happy about.

So another saving for the month of November YIPEEE.

    HURRY UP NOVEMBER :rotfl:

  • Good morning,

Well at 11pm tonight 5 years ago I went into labour with my beautiful DD. Didn't have her for another 26 hours mind you but she is worth it.

I am wearing my wedding and eternity rings on the other hand today, they look great with my fashion ring, I got inspiration from watching posh pawn last night...I don't have a Hermes bag worth 12k stashed away in my cupboard though.

Still plodding on money wise, I popped to the shop last night on the way home and got some bits, but only a small spend so thats good.

Pay day is in one week. 'Come on Livvy you can make it'. I wish my life away don't I?

Last night was very chilled out at home, DD and I have found our routine and we even got time to colour in a picture before bed. My home made food was lovely and DD said she wants to eat when she gets home tonight (its x's night), so I will have emergency spaghetti at the ready.

  • Ive just bought tickets for DD and I to see Disney on Ice £54.50

I keep telling myself it isn't until October so will be out of October pots. X and his family are taking her but they couldn't get me a ticket (hmmm) so thought s*d you, I want to see that...so we're going the day before :D. Revenge is sweet (and expensive).

  • Morning Diary,

Its miserable and wet today and I have a school visit this afty, Ill be bringing DD and her mate home for tea and then after I get her to bed (hopefully on time if she isn't too excited), I will be icing the cake, blowing up balloons and putting up banners.

Tomorrow Im taking DD to school as a treat, she is so excited. X is picking her up and then bringing her home for 5 when we'll be off to the soft play with a couple of DD's friends. Ive got a 25% off voucher for food so may stay for tea too.

Right I have been doing my sums for next months spends and I have decided that I won't refill the car fund, otherwise I will end up back in the same situation as this month (too much month for money). I will leave it as it is and when I top up on pay day it will be back to £400 which is fine. Come November I can start to fill it up by £150 a month so it will grow quite quickly.

Ive been making a list of clothes repairs for the weekend, I need to get my sewing kit out...its just finding the time.

Applied for a First Direct account yesterday, you get £125 back. I need to move from TSB as I get the premier account which costs £25 a month and First Direct has the same kind of thing (includes everything I need), for £15. Then this morning it dawned on me I had put in the wrong account number on my application...durrr! I have only gone and put down the account that x took over. In my defence there are only two digits different on the accounts. Anyway the nice man I spoke to said it didn't matter really it was only for reference and I would hear within the next 7-10 days...I think the whole world is applying so they get the free £125.

Managing really well with my meal plans and our lunches each day. DD and I should be way past pay day by the time I need more food.

Sounds like you're doing wonderfully Livvy, I'm glad you've got into a routine, I really need to get us all into a routine. I hope your DD has a fantastic day tomorrow, it sounds like she's going to. Bless you for going to all that effort for her big day.
  • Morning Missy,

Aw thank you, DD is bouncing off the walls this morning...totally off the scale.

I love having a routine (is that sad? lol), mind you I get all stressed out when it goes to pot...think I need to be open to last minute changes (Im panicking just thinking about it).

  • I have been in work an hour and I feel like I have done a full day already.

I took DD to school today for a birthday treat, so she scooted round there on her scooter bless. She absolutely loved her pressies and all the balloons, she is even wearing her huge badge. It makes me laugh because when some one says Happy Birthday to her she says it back awwww.

We got the cake iced last night and it looks amazing. We had to chop Rapunzels legs off at the calves as her dress was a bit short, but its just right now. I felt a bit mean. Not sure where we will put the candles though as I don't want to set fire to her hair.

Ive transferred £150 from the birthdays fund to pay for tonight and the party tomorrow, I feel like Octobers pay is a fresh start as Ive almost cleared out my pots. Once I have paid for the curtains the home and emergency fund will be empty but I should be able to live comfortably for the month on what I have in the other pots.

Going to the canteen for lunch today as I haven't had time to make myself anything. Only just remembered DD's lunch this morning.

Happy Weekend everyone! 5 days until pay day.
