Thank you everyone congratulating me on the ring. Although it was a lot of money to spend, it wasn't anywhere near what a lot of people would spend on a wedding ring and with monthly payments over the next 12 months we can just about afford it along with saving for the wedding. You've all made me feel a lot more confident that I've made the right decision. :) It was so perfect I just couldn't let it pass me by :)

Good luck with your interview Southernman, I hope it all goes well :)

Thank you honey10, I'm starting W100 in a week now! Is it fairly easy going?
What are you doing now with your Open degree?

nell the little targets definitely sound like a good idea, I've heard from others just how tough the treatment is, but it sounds like you're doing well psychologically :) I hope it's all going well physically too :) Thank you, it's nice to know there's someone that can give me help if I need it :) How far are you through the psychology degree? That sounds really interesting too.

Sorry, jakes-mum, but you've only just had one - brilliant welcome though. :D Your DH could well have a point about another session, after all, the better you can get will be good for you all. A hug for him with his flu, don't forget to give him lots of TLC. Fantastic news about the 2 night break in Northumberland and great of you to give it to your Mum & Dad. I hope she soon feels much better (you sure it's not that time in a woman's life she's suffering from?)

Im re-booked in for next tuesday with the hypnotherapist :)

Nope, no hugs for 'himself' hes feeling absolutely fine now and has kindly passed all his lurgy and feeling horrible on to me , on the up side I did wake up to the kitchen and downstairs bathroom having been cleaned (including the floors!) BUT on the downside he has forwarded none of the sympathy and care to me that I gave to him! I even had to cook everyones dinner, which is no mean feat when you cant actually see due to the tunnel vision

Def not 'that' time ;) mum is in her 60's so thats all behind her now :o

£1.55 in the pot today, care of a fb sale and 5p off DS as his games sold on ebay for £1.95 and I thought it easier for him to give me a 5p than me hunt for 95p in change :o.

Sparky you have broken my heart :( I was looking forward to skeggy, had my pennies for the slot machines and skeggy rock all ready :(

  • Thanks for all the support! I just found out earlier that my old department i would end up going back to has an unclear future so if i get a permanent position either in my seconded department or i get the interview tomorrow i'll be in a brilliant position.

It's going to be early to bed for me though now!

Brilliant saving, ETO, your little lad will thank you for that one day. ;) Is he nearly a year now?

Thanks Sue. No, he's only 19 weeks old. But he is growing so quickly. Dreading going back to work even though I'm hoping to take a year off.

    Hope you are well. :D

The W100 is pretty hard going considering the level and other modules of a similar length and level but it really is interesting. I found it to be one of those things you have to have an interest in to make it work.

I'm doing bits and bobs now. Not long since finished bookkeeping and right now trying to decide in my next module 😀 good luck x

    £3+ potted today

I am back with a bit of sparkle about me today :)

£1 in the pot, and heading over to parents for dinner this evening, its the first meal I've fancied in the last 10 days - woohoo.....and its gonna be a mum's special spag bol :)

Dinglefoot - I have completed 180 credits of a 360 credit degree (so half way). Its hard work and we all find out better way of studying, but it is sooooo worthwhile, and future employers have a respect for you doing the degree whilst working, it shows you have determination but also can be practical about managing your time. Its very exciting each time you start a new module, and I have always found that if you can get to a tutorial (if your module has them) then they are worth making the effort.
