• Afternoon

Hope everyone is well. I'm sorry for my post last week ~ just realised I posted on the wrong thread!

Ok, so the situation at the moment is I am trying to still pot but the extra £5 I was putting into the pot now has to go to DS1 as he's at a different college campus this year and needs more money, so unfortunately less is going into the pot :(

Quick question When we total up our tins at the end of the year is it just the money we've potted in there or can I count the Mr t vouchers I'm saving solely for christmas (I joined the christmas saver scheme) and the Mr M savings stamps too??

PLEASE NOTE

Would the last of most recent members (names below) please alter your SPC Nos on your signatures for me? Sparky (bless him) has just bought to my attention the fact that I've made a ****up and put the last few numbers round the wrong way. :o The correct ones are below. If you could all alter them - and let me know you've done so - I'd be so grateful. Thank you, you too sparky. :T You're a star.

Thank you all so very much indeed. :)
Thank you for my number Sue, I kept checking the member list excitedly awaiting to see my name!!

I have put £8 into my pot today, a mixture of silver and £1 coins that was weighing my purse down. I have also listed 11 things to sell, all starting at 99p so hopefully by next week I will have some extra money, and any change I get from the post office I'm going to pot.

I also tried a top on again I bought last week, and realised it was a splurge I cannot afford - so I'll take that back next week. Won't go in my pot, but it all helps clear that debt.

Thanks again everyone. Its been a tough year this naughty 2013, but now I've found you all I'm feeling better already.

Hi Thrifty Fashionista, firstly could you kindly swap your SPC No round for me, see the correct one above, thanks. Well done on taking back things you really don't want and selling on things you don't need, you're doing the right thing! ;) :T I'm so pleased you're feeling better about yourself already. Most of us have been where you are now, strive on, you'll get there. :D

That's ok, pinkpig, and don't worry as we do understand, but please would you pop the amount taken out on your siggy so sparky sees it and includes it in November? Thanks so much.
Also, please listen to what little_sweetie, is asking, I agree wholeheartedly with her - be honest with him as you'd wish him to be with you. ;)

Definitely a gold star for you, little_sweetie, good advice. :staradmin

Hello laura_hoggle, good to see you and many congratulations to you both! Please add what you banked (if you haven't already done so) to your siggy, thanks a lot.

I've got an image of Paddington Bear with all that lot, LC 2!! :rotfl:All the best in selling it all.

Whoops sorry, ETO!! So, whoever was it who had a baby before Christmas last year?!!!! :o
Quick question When we total up our tins at the end of the year is it just the money we've potted in there or can I count the Mr t vouchers I'm saving solely for christmas (I joined the christmas saver scheme) and the Mr M savings stamps too?
Sadly, I think the answer has to be no, Happybeingme. :( I'm sure a lot of members, who can afford it, are able to put a weekly sum of money/save for stamps for Christmas and that it could add up to quite a sum if included with SPC savings. So in an MSE way of looking at it, it seems a little unfair to include savings from elsewhere when not everyone is able to.

I hope folk think this is a fair view, but I'll gladly listen to anyone else's take on it - any views, comments?
Keep on saving as hard as possible, everyone, you're all doing so well.

Oh ok Sue-UU no problem. Not sure I'll hit my £200 target this year but I didn't join till Jan and its all a learning curve. My money is a lot more organised than it was at the start of the year but I have a loooooooooonnnnnnnnng way to go ~ just means I'll be more determined for next year! :)
