2 x £2 in the pot today and £1 ish in change in the big tub.

Bit :( at the minute, think DH has kindly shared his flu with me (oh he's happy as larry as his broke last night ) and across the road decided to have an all out slanging match at 1am, so bad we had to call the police!, then dd woke at 6:30am from a nightmare so I feel like cac :(

Did manage to get dd to her swimming lesson though which is good and I'm now doing the laziest tea ever, omelette and roasties for me, pizza and chips for them lot (I have home made the chips! Though if I'd had any frozen ones I'd have def opted for them :o)

Crimson - apologies.....I blame it on the chemo brain!!!!! Gawd only knows how I am gonna finish my last uni assignment this week :)

Dinglefoot - hope you enjoy the OU as much as I do. What are you studying?

Broke into the fiver as I eventually managed to venture out into the sunlight today. However, had a lovely £2 coin in the change so its gone in the pot.

LC2 that's awful! 6am on a Saturday, what was he thinking? :p Don't worry, I've told the one here that that is not acceptable behaviour. If he wants to wake up at silly o'clock to fish that's his own silly idea and he's not to disturb anyone else, but he may leave a nice message :D

nell how is your treatment going? It's good to know that you've had a good experience with them too. I got my pack through the other day and my course website goes online tomorrow. I'm excited but nervous about finding the time to do it all! I'm going to be studying law :) I'm hoping it's not going to be too difficult, I've had a look at some of the course materials and it looks like they sort of ease you into it :)

It's my fiance's birthday today, but I had to work (couldn't get the day off :() so it was more of a birthday for him yesterday really. I was not very MSE yesterday :( We went out to the shops to have a look at wedding rings. I thought that way we could write codes down of ones we like and get an idea of what we like...that way when the Christmas sales come, we know codes of ones we like and possibly don't have to battle through so many people to try them on. My engagement ring is a very unusual shape, and I was previously told I wouldn't be able to find anything that would fit perfectly around it because it wasn't bought as a set. I tried lots on, none quite giving me the 'WOW' factor, although they were nice. Then the lady in one shop lifted one out of the counter I hadn't spotted and I instantly thought it was lovely. I put it on and it fits perfectly next to my ring and really complements it too. It's gorgeous and it's got 20 little diamonds in it :) I was instantly wowed and knew it was the one I wanted...but it cost a lot more than I was planning on paying for a ring :o We went and had lunch and had a discussion, and to cut an already long story a bit shorter, I ended up getting it...after all I'm going to wear it for the rest of my life (hopefully anyway!) and I don't want to get something that I don't really feel is worth parting with my money for. I also didn't want to leave it in case they stopped doing it, as they change women's styles frequently. I'm a bit AHHHHHH  that we actually bought it, but also super happy and excited :jAnd I made my Mum cry when I showed her, which doesn't often happen :p

...Oh and my OH potted 2p last night! He's potting more than me now :rotfl:

A lovely £1 shopkill is wending it's way into the pot today along with 3 x 50ps, 1 x 2p, 1 x 1p and a shiny 5p coin. So that's £2.58 joining all the other coins in there. Party time!

Dinglefoot -this cycle of chemo has been by far the toughest. It was a planned change of drugs and has absolutely physically grabbed me by the scruff of the neck and wrung me out......psychologically the longer treatment goes on the tougher it gets. But once I got passed the 4 days in bed last week, I try my hardest to set myself little targets to achieve each day to keep me motivated. Just had a little 15 minute walk about the village this evening which was lovely.

I have a law degree and practiced for 12 years.....specialised in contract and tort........so if you ever want to run something by me then just pm.....altho I've forgotten loads of general stuff when you spend years specialising in specific areas. I am doing a BSc (Hon) in Psychology and love it.

    Sorry all......completely off track!

Hi all, it's been a while since I posted but since we go on our first anniversary holiday on Monday, I thought id count up now, almost £400!!! I will put it in my signature when I'm on the computer.

Those of you with the OU, I hope you have your NUS extra card, it will save you a small fortune!

Dinglefoot, I did both W100 and W200 towards a law degree, until life got in the way, but I'm now switching to an Open degree. Anyway, if you would like to pick my brains, feel free. And good luck 😀

Hugs to all those that need them xx

How did your apple cooking turn out? I'm ekeing out the last of my strawberries. The plants are almost bare but the last bit of sunshine is ripening the remaining fruit which I pick fresh every morning to put on my breakfast cereal nom nom...
