Hi all!! It's late in the year and I've been away from mse for ages but now I'm back and would love to join please!
I put my dinky 5p's in an old yoghurt pot but now I'm ready to pop them all (and anything else I can get hold of) into my sealed coffee mate tub. (even covered it in wrapping paper to look prettier!)
Ready for the challenge especially with xmas creeping up!
    Thanks xx
:hello: Trying my best to money save! :j

    Welcome backto MSE miele :D
    C
is definitely a tough time of year, so it'll really help if you manage to save up even a little bit over the next couple of months. It's never too late to start saving, or to start potting with us :) I like the sound of your pot too :) Have you read the first page of this thread? It won't be long before Sue comes along and gives you your potting number :D

  • Only got paid on the 18th and nearly £100 has just...gone.

£30 on Go Ape, £30 for my Goddaughter's birthday, £7+£15 for Alton Towers (petrol and one fast track ticket) and i have £5 in my purse.

Been a bit on a downer today. Still waiting on whether my secondment will be extended or if i return to my original dept (which i hate). Was supposed to find out today but an answer has been delayed once again.

An internal vacancy had cropped up and the deadline was today so i basing my decision to apply on the outcome of my secondment, Didn't happen so i wimped out and cried (love this job so much) and told my manager that as much as i love the job i have to keep my options open especially if i have to deal with a worst case scenario and told her i was applying (she gets a notification) so it's gone and submitted. She was so much more kinder and understanding than my original manager.

So i went home and felt miserable and put the washing on and watched Corrie. So went to get the washing out and the clothes were ABSOLUTELY SODDEN.

Had to singlehandedly lift the washing machine up like muscle woman, stick a bucket underneath, unscrew the pump clean out the fluff and start my washing cycle again.

    GAHHHHHH

Only good thing was that i found 10p behind the washing machine.

    Just gahh.

£2.50 in the pot today from another FB sale, wont have any other pennies this weekend as ive just placed my A*da order online for delivery monday (hoping ive ordered enough to last the month so I only have to do fresh food top ups). I keep panicking about the £85 bill each time I order, I really cant get my head round that this is my main shop for a month not a weeks worth :rotfl:

A very warm welcome, specialkthefirst and miele. It's lovely to have you with us. biggrin.gif Enjoy yourself saving and join in the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 5 of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge.
Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away. ;)

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

With a name like that, specialkthefirst, you sound as though you're going to be regular. Sorry, couldn't resist it.

miele, if you'd be happier to keep saving until next Christmas that'll be fine, if not, all the best in saving for this year.

A gold star for you for both welcomes, dinglefoot, :staradmin how are you now?

So good to hear about your hypnotherapy, jakes-mum! Lets hope it'll work wonders for you.

HOK3Y, that EMDR you had sounded marvellous, very logical for sure when you write about the walking/thinking part.

If you're happy with Jamie Oliver, Ruth, then stick with him and his meals if they're ok, though it sounds as though maybe they're not? What was wrong with the ones this week, too pricey? I was quite surprised to hear about how they slate him on the Old Style threads, after all it's each to their own! Ignore them on there and just loiter! :D

Hey thanks for that, Nell, I'd never thought of popping them in yoghurts, a great idea!

Don't ask me how to get back on topic, I'm always in trouble with sue for rambling on  :rotfl:

You're not wrong there, jakes-mum!! A gold star one minute - the naughty step NOW!! NO you can't have LC 2 there and no sweets! Actually,....nah, forget it as that Baked Bean Tart sounds darned delicious - you're off the hook- this time. :A
Had lasagna chips and salad for lunch and steak for tea mind you the steak went back cos they had burnt it!! And very MSE got full refund and drinks. The man who I was with (obviously not my DH as he is being trained by DINGLEFOOT was mortified when I complained. So when she returned the money I kept it as I was sure he wouldn't want to associate himself with it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Oh very well done indeed, LC 2, very MSE and the right thing to do. Now, what were you saying about keeping on topic.....!!

Nice to see you back, getting-there-slowly, saving too!

Great saving, emmita, keep it going!

Sue-UU - thanks for the compliment re my lodger. I forget she is only 14 but she seems so mature and calm.

Ah but, mishmogs, girls mature faster than boys, that's why we're so darned good at keeping our fellars in check! ;)

    Excellent saving, Elle, stay strong!

Come on, Buffy, what's up with you? :naughty: Keep ££££££ signs in your mind.

I'm with it with the Jamie O programme now, little_sweetie, a £10er for salmon isn't really for the likes of us here now is it?!

Stay strong and keep the cash potted, Helen.

Very noble of you to rehouse those poor 5ps, Modesty, at least they're happy now.

Hi Kerry! Is all going well with you? You're always dishing our hugs, you have one for yourself from me. :A

Oh dear, Southernman, I was going to say "things can only get better then", but after all you've been through...maybe not. It could be that there's something much better for you around the corner. Stay focused and exercise the stress and unhappiness off, it works wonders. ;)

    Lovely to see you, cutestkids.

£5 in the pot after shopping. We won't be going on holiday this year :( so I'll possibly pot extra a bit further down the line.

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend, everyone, but what weird weather.

    Sue x
Anyone wishing to join, please just ask, you're more than welcome, it's NEVER too late. There may be a lot of us, but don't be shy, we're a lovely lot, so come on in.:grinheart

ModestyB that was ever so kind of you to rescue them and give them some friends :D I'm sure they'll be very happy in their loving new home :)

Southernman I hope things are going a bit better and that you feel cheerier today *hugs*

*Hugs to everyone who needs them...and those who don't* :D

Eeek, another shiny star?! Thank you so much Sue :D:D:D Unfortunately I'm still poorly and I have to go to work tomorrow :( I've got another doctor's appointment on Monday, so I'm hoping he'll be able to help. I sometimes feel like I just have so many things to list when I go to see the doctor :o

My OH is definitely a convert - he brought home a lovely shiny 1p for the pot today :)

    I've been Money Tipped!
Evening all, lovely day here in the North East.

miele - welcome back and good luck.

Road kill?? Well sort of, hubby found £1 in locker at gym.................potted, along with bits totalling £5.70. Ended off not a bad week after a very slow start.
Frugal week again next week, we'll see how the potting goes and how lucky I get with the s/scan tills with £2 coins.

£549+ potted now and not long to go. lol
