Don't ask me how to get back on topic, I'm always in trouble with sue for rambling on  :rotfl:
Well having Redone the recipe book, it's amazing how many of them use baked beans and/or cheapie streaky bacon  though had forgotten all about baked bean pie that was a firm favourite in this house and was easy to convert to gluten free (plus I could make cheese and onion pasties with the left over pastry) can see them being made next week
Ill be honest, I'd never cook a whole £14 joint in one go, I buy them and cut them in to 3, each joint is always big enough for Sunday and Monday roast and usually has left over that I cube and bung in a stew, so 9 meals for £14
Oh and soooooo making chocolate orange scones! Wonder if you could melt down actual choc orange and chuck that in as they will no doubt be on special soon :rotfl:SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

Morning all, not been around for a few days and just caught up.
AbbylouE1 - welcome and good luck.
Hope all are better, a few under the weather - get well soon.
I'm still being frugal, but managed to pot 7 x £1 coins this morning. Not that much room in my pot now and not far for the coins to fall. lol
TBH, I'm surprised it's managed to hold so much!!
Anyway, £540+ potted so far.

Hi Everyone
Well went out for lunch and then again in the evening and this morning I had lost 3lb this week ???
Had lasagna chips and salad for lunch and steak for tea mind you the steak went back cos they had burnt it!! and very MSE got full refund and drinks. The man who I was with (obviously not my DH as he is being trained by DINGLEFOOT was mortified when I complained. So when she returned the money I kept it as I was sure he wouldn't want to associate himself with it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

£1.20 in the pot today care of FB
love that selling page :j :j
ok, baked bean tarts (though I actually made 1 great big one in a pie dish )
Get a bun tin and grease each hole
line each with short crust pastry
get some cheap streaky bacon (or ham if you prefer) cook and chop up into small pieces
put a bit in each pastry 'case'
get tin of baked beans and put 1 spoonful in each case on top of the bacon
put 2/3 eggs in a cup and beat together until nice and mixed
top each case up with egg mixture and then pop in the oven on 190 until egg is firm (when I made the pie it took about 50 minutes it was so big and deep :rotfl:)SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000
