  • Well, I gave in and purchased a new pot today - I know it's not very :money: to be buying a pot but it was from £land.....and then I seen them for 95p in the shop next door!

Anyway, a wee £1 just to get it started off. I'm not going to open the full one...it's sitting beside the new one to motivate me to fill it up just as much :)

Thanks for all the encouragement on this thread - there is no way I thought I'd be on pot number 2 before the challenge was over :A

  • i would like to join the sealed pot challenge, I always pick up any money I see in the street or anywhere else. I have done this for the last 3 years and bank it at the end of the year. My aim in the first year was to find £3-65 (1p for every day of the year). Each year I have gone to over that and over £10 each time.
    SEALED POT CHALLANGE, No 2098.

    EVERY PENNY COUNTS.

Welcome Baggy to the lovely SPC challenge  we love new members here, our fearless leader Sue-UU will be along to allocate you a lovely number that is yours for eternity and will ask you to pop it in your sig for all to see. Also she likes us to read her most helpful and informative 1st post that has lots and lots of useful information about what we do and how thchallenge works.

Sparky is our saucy counterupper and keeper of the spreadsheet, it does make his life easier if, should you bank any money, you pop it on your sig next to your number so it doesnt get forgotten on pot opening day :D

Now tell us lots of interesting stuff about yourself as we are all very nosey and like to gossip :D :rotfl:

Sparky im beginning to think you dont want LC2 and I to visit you! but of course this cannot be true as we know how much you love us, and just think, if we came round your neighbours would probably move out after an afternoon listening to us :rotfl:

Ty my Sue-uu for my star :D am feeling quite chirpy today as have seen the hypnotherapist and have to say lots of stuff came out of my mouth that I had not thought about for many years  not sure how much is true sub-concious and how much is my own mind running away with me, but as I said to me mum, if it works and gets me going outside again and eating more then who the pig cares!

Happy dance today as had a phonecall and have won a stihl hedge trimmer with engine thingy on it (that you can buy other attachments for) which according to their website is worth about £550  pushing my win total over the £3k mark :j :j also a lovey £2 coin for my tin after a trip to £land where I managed to spend £17 on god knows what but still . . yay to a £2 coin :D

Jakes-mum - well done with the hypnosis. If it works for you that is all that matters. I had a similar experience with a therapy that falls under the EMDR remit (if you google what that stands for, you might think it's baloney). Anyway, the therapist used a bilateral tactile device which consisted of two vibrating pods, one in each hand, that vibrated alternately. She explained that these engage alternate sides of your brain and allow real clarity of thought. It's like when you go for a walk: your alternating heel strikes do the same thing and how many times have we taken a walk to think something through?! Anyway, I truly thought it was going to be rubbish but it turned out to be one of the most amazing hours of my life. I still go back to it all the time. I walked in her office a broken wreck and I left laughing and full of hope. Sharing only because it might help you and I see no shame in asking for help when you need it - that is strength in action and a courageous thing to do for yourself. Love to you. Xx

Crimson - Jamie Oliver has just started new tv series about budget meals. I watched the programme the other night - there was a lady who was throwing out lots of food each year so he went thru some recipes with her.........very good and he gives an estimate cost per portion of meal. Think if you google something like Jamie Oliver budget menus there are free recipes online from the series.....the whole idea being that you don't have to spend money on buying the recipe book. Or watch the programmes on tv......good inspiration for cooking nice food on a budget. Hope this helps.
