One of mine went out to sea, but it was when I was on a garage roof trying to find the other one that Mr. Desmond appeared straight from work, yelled 'What are you doing!?' and I had to quickly (and truthfully) reply 'Looking for my shoe'.
To add to the right rollicking I knew I'd get, I then nervously and drunkenly half fell/slipped off the roof, stood up.....and threw up.

Bloody good day though
oops another mistake read the last sentence as bloody good lay:rotfl:0 -
When we both lived at home, I went back to my OH's parents house slightly tipsy after the pub one night. I stumbled up the stairs turning all the lights on and off, waking up his parents. They asked what I was doing, to which I replied 'Trying to turn the outside light off'. This is something that no matter how drunk I was, I always had to make sure I did at my own parents.
However their house didn't have an outside light, I was trying to turn out the streetlight! Luckily they saw the funny side and it wasn't too lateWhats meant to be will always find its way...;)0 -
A few years ago my friend gave me a lift home with shopping at the end off a very long day. As she drove away I realised my handbag complete with door keys and mobile phone were in her car.
I had to walk the 3 miles to her house to collect them. Her face was a picture when I knocked on her front door.Sealed pot challenge member 4370 -
One of my friends had been at a clients, somewhere near Oxford, all day until late in the evening fixing a computer problem. He was tired and got into his car and punched the 'Home' button on the Sat Nav and set off.
We live in north Nottinghamshire and he wasn't paying much attention to the road signs but at some point the realisation dawned that the journey seemed to be taking longer than it should so he started to take note of where he was.
Seeing a sign that he was on the M2 heading for Dover made him realise something was badly wrong.
Checking the Sat Nav destination gave him the answer. Home was set to a very nice farm house in Brittany that a group of us had rented for three weeks some time ago. Since the holiday he'd forgotten to reset his Home location
Oops.
He ended up checking into a hotel and coming home the next morning. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -

Only when sorting out my laundry this afternoon did I realise I spend yesterday with 'buy two for £8' on a sticker on one of my ample breasts,
Reminds me of something else I've done. A few years ago I worked for the planning dept of a local council and part of my job was to send out a lot of letters. We had a stamp with the director's signature on (way before electronic sigs lol). I somehow managed to get it stamped on my white top, spent the whole day looking like the manky old director had signed my chest.0 -

My son did the sat nav thing too.
He borrowed my mum's for an interview, came out and rang me to say he'd be half an hour then set off "home"
Half an hour later he rang again to say he was at Grandma's, I asked why and said he'd pressed "home" and only realised when he pulled up outide that he was there.
Hes quite clever really, honestly :rotfl:14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
Went to the financial advisor yesterday to arrange a mortgage on the BTL property we are buying. Took a mountain of paperwork, start filling out all the forms etc, go to fill in the bit on the address of the new property.......... And I haven't a clue! We remembered the road name, but couldn't remember the house number i was buying!! Had to leave that and go past the house on the way home, and ring the advisor so he could finish the forms for me.

Well, one night i had had a bit too much to drink and hit the 'redial' button on my phone, thinking that the last number i had called was my then boyfriend.
So i heard (what i THOUGHT was) his voice saying hello, and began a very explicit second-by-second account account of what i would like to do to him once he returned to my house that night.....
Then i heard my best friend and her husband on the end of the phone, laughing their heads off...i had forgotten that SHE was the last person i had called, and her husband had answered and put it on speaker phone...

LOL I tried to book Adele concert tickets for my OH last year for his birthday. couldn't find any UK dates anywhere but there was one venue in France so I thought it would be a double present
the cost was something like 17.38 euros so I thought it was a bit cheap, luckily I put the whole booking paragraph though google translate before confirming and it was a French country and western singers concert! I nearly booked tickets to see a hairy bloke called Adele lol
luckily my OH would of seen the funny side of it0
