Used to be a mad Bryan Adams fan, so when I found out he was coming to Brum for a concert I kept dropping hints.....so my mom decided that she would get me a pair of tickets as a Xmas pressie surprise.....she was so excited Xmas Day when I opened the envelope and so was I.....until I read that the tickets were for Michael Bolton instead:rotfl:

We got up on the last morning of our stay on the campsite, packed up the tent and all our belongings (takes a good two hours) and I went to say goodbye to the owner and tell her what a nice stay we'd had. "But you're booked in till tomorrow!" she said.

Didn't want to set up all of it again for one night so we headed off to our next campsite, with me assuring OH I was booked in there today. Get there and..."Oh, we weren't expecting you till tomorrow!" Sure enough...they squeezed us in fortunately but I still had to pay up for the extra night. And Hubby made me check the ferry tickets home at least four times.

On holiday in China a few years ago, I went to check in on-line at the hotel in the morning in Shanghai in anticipation of flying out that night at midnight. Frantically trying to work out why I couldn't book onto the flight, I looked again and realised I'd booked myself a return out of Beijing. Cue a frantic call to American Express as at the time I had the concierge service (thanks to the ex!) and I had to get a flight from Shanghai to Beijing and sit in Beijing Airport for 8 hours......I'm moving to China permanently next week, do you know how many times I have checked and double-checked my flight out!

One time, we started selling a tonne of new items at the same time, including a new brand of pork scratchings. Anyway, because of all the new items, I was really rushed in putting together all of the flyers for the sales reps. In my haste to get everything typed up, I managed to make a typo on one of the flyers and ended up calling the pork scratchings !!!!!! Cratchings :rotfl: Thankfully someone noticed my typo before they went out to the sales reps but I got made fun of a lot!

Been on holiday in scotland for a week, got totally drunk one night with the two brother in laws, can't remember anything about the night, although my husband informs me I called one of his brothers a snob, avoided them for the whole holiday cause I was so embarrassed as I would have said something I shouldn't have.

Yesterday we had a lovely lie in after travelling back from scotland, my husband put a pot of coffee on, we went into the garden thinking how lovely it was to have an extra day off - the postman knocks at the door, I answer it and as I signed for the parcel said to postman, we don't usually get post on a Bank Holiday, he looked at me oddly and replied its not a Bank Holiday:eek: My husband was meant to be at work, it was bank holiday in scotland yesterday not England!

Booked some cheap flights and booked the wrong day, cost almost as much to move them as it did to book them (damn you EasyJet).

    Ditto!! :o

It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
