My washing machine was playing up and sticking mid cycle last weekend so I decided that as resetting it via the buttons wasnt working I would pull it out, unplug it and then try it again after a few mins-seems to work with everything else lol.
Only I didn't think to turn the water off before hand, or remember that the cold fill pipe isn't actually that long, which resulted in water everywhere as the pipe snapped off and me about in tears because until then I'd never thought about finding out where to turn the water off!!! Luckily my neighbour managed to locate the tap, even though its in a different place to hers, but by this point my kitchen was flooded with a good few inches of water.......0 -
The most stupid thing I did was to walk down the aisle and got married when every instinct I had was screaming at me not to do it. That was 3 years ago and I'm now happily single again.
This would make a good thread..Do some people walking down the aisle really know that it is not going to last but just for a few years? It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
Some of these stories have really made me laugh out loud!
I once walked twenty minutes into the town centre to return a dress, got to the shop entrance only to realise that I'd left the dress at home!
One day before work I dropped my car at the garage for a service, walked to work. After work I went to my usual parking spot and panicked for a good five minutes before remembering my car was in the garage.
Also forgot the combination to my suitcase padlock while on holiday. We were staying in a villa so were experimenting with all sorts of tools trying to break a very resistant lock! Ended up breaking a butter knife but got into the suitcase in the end

Yes ive done something similar to this.....ran myself a hot bath and whilst it was running nipped downstairs for something, ended up getting into conversation and totally forgot about the bath until my daughter said the kitchen ceiling was leaking......soon as she said it i remembered the bath and shot upstairs to find it overflowing :eek:zoesmummy_2006 wrote: »My washing machine was playing up and sticking mid cycle last weekend so I decided that as resetting it via the buttons wasnt working I would pull it out, unplug it and then try it again after a few mins-seems to work with everything else lol.

Only when sorting out my laundry this afternoon did I realise I spend yesterday with 'buy two for £8' on a sticker on one of my ample breasts,

I remember going to a job interview & at the end the interviewer asked me when I could start and I told him I had another job interview next week so was unsure. Didn't like the job and it was far to travel. They wrote to me the following week to say I didn't get the job. I did get the other job though.I hate migraines.0
