    Thanks for the welcome :D

I don't know whether I should be proud of what I have achieved in two and a half hours, or ashamed that I haven't done it sooner if it's only taken this long?

    [STRIKE]Strip DD and SD's beds and wash[/STRIKE],
Iron and make up beds of DS1, DS2 and SS,
    [STRIKE]Wash and polish kitchen bin,
    Scrub all kitchen paintwork including
skirtings, door and frame, units and kick strips,
    Clean out the fridge,
Clean the microwave inside and out,
Pull out fridge and freezer and clean
    under and behind[/STRIKE],
    Clean out the hammies
[STRIKE]Sweep[/STRIKE] and mop every inch of floor as opposed to my usual slapdash efforts and
Start sorting and cleaning cupboards inside, depending on how the afternoon runs away with me.

Floor has been very thoroughly swept, I just need to retrieve the steam mop from the boot of my car (it tends to live there as, embarrassingly given the state of my home, I am a professional domestic cleaner!) -- getting to my car right now is tricky though as my neighbour is currently having her car loaded onto a recovery truck as her wheels were stolen last night  We live in a nice area too! It's the second time it's happened in as many months.

Under the fridge/freezer was utterly shameful. I am now banning my soon-to-be-husband from making his breakfast or sandwiches on the worksurface there. I have tidied and cleaned the DIY/hamster cupboard and done under the sink too, managed to fill a black bag of guff which has gone in the wheelie.

Coffee and nicotine fix and then I am back to it.

Dusty I hope your DS is okay and has't caught oe of the nasty viruses still doing the rounds.

    hello and welcome Fizz :)

nicki Yay to the ironing being done. I never let my kids do the ironing so when I allowed them at a sensible age they loved it.

pigpen I need advice on how to deflea, worm a feral cat. Any ideas. Last time eventually cost us £40 in vets fees as he had to be knocked out. After we caught him. Plus 4 injured hands and antibiotics required for the hands!! I know you are busy so no hurry :D

LW I have a lack of spoons still. I am looking after DGD but have put her down for another nap as I need the rest. Completely flaked. smiley-sleep013.gif
Luckily DS2 helped me batch cook last week so we have a dinner ready to put in microwave.

CY The first time they do anything like this it is scary for them and you but she can be in regular contact with you. The first time DS3 went to London I literally held his hand the whole way, by being on the end of the phone. When he got to King's Cross he phoned me to ask which way to walk!! I didn't know it had been pulled down and rebuilt since my last visit :D

You can get worming cream which you can add to food and some tablets which get rid of fleas in tablet form with you can hid the whole tablet in food or crush to a powder and add to food..

    Hi all

Amazingly for me I was up earlier this morning and cleaned the fridge before the paid stuff.

I used advocat as a flea/wormer treatment for my 3 cats. The fleas around here have become immune to frontline, something I found out to my cost when I moved down here. LB is a placid cat but when it comes to being defleaed I normally end up rugby tackling him on the landing but he's the one who needs it the most as he's another one with a flea allergy.

CY calming vibes to you and DD1

    Will update later

Poohbear - thanks, I fear he may have done, he has never had a bug like this before, he is asleep atm but very sad before that and I fear there could be more to come.

I am going to clean the bathroom and shower room toilet/floors and sinks again now I think, the thought of getting it myself makes me squirm.

    Monday Minging & Flinging-Bathroom
    15 minutes...
[STRIKE]Clear floors of guff and stuff[/STRIKE]
    Got 30 minutes to spare...
[STRIKE]Clean baths, toilets, don't forget the outside! and sinks[/STRIKE]

    Have an hour...
[STRIKE]Wash your bathroom mats, nets, clean blind/curtains, shower curtains etc[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Wipe down tiles in bathroom
Sweep and mop and deslop the floors in these rooms.
    Collect all the dirty laundry[/STRIKE]

    Extra mission: Take your pick!
    [STRIKE]
    • Grab yourself steam cleaner and scrub the manky bits between the tiles[/STRIKE]
    • Tighten locking nut on bathroom cabinet – it seems OH has “borrowed” my screwdriver and socket set down to Sandwick without telling me  so won’t get done this week
I’m going to have a break for a while and see how the spoons go and might attempt kitchen later on.

I ordered new mobile on 26th July and still not appeared yet. VF have been really great about it. DPD are a bunch of *insert expletive here* and Streamline (the courier that DPD use to ferry it up here and deliver to me) have been great too. Vf are sending out a new phone. I spoke to vf about how there are quite a number of mobiles that don’t quite make it to Shetland. They seem to get to Aberdeen and never make it to Streamline. The guy said that they are going to look into this matter as I’m not the first call he’s had about it. So feel, hopefully theremaybe a small victory coming.

Decluttering myself off to OH's tomorrow so will need to pack tonight and will be doing some flying there for the rest of the week

Vanilla – great news about DD and hope the letter writing went well

Dusty – Glad problem resolved itself and no op needed. Hope DS3 is feeling better

Dancemum – Sending (((hugs))) to you and DS

Furrybeastoz – You need (((hugs))) and spoons too, be gentle with yourself, you are getting there

Pigpen – Glad your wandering moggy came back. They are quite good at doing that disappearing causing a fuss then acting like nothing happened and “oh can you fill my feed dish please” lol

FFP – They have some serious making up to do after leaving you with no internet

Mrs Moneypenny –I stocked up on vinegar and bicarb of Soda yesterday. They have the big containers of the brown vinegar but nothing like that for the white. The checkout lass gave me a bit of a strange look when I put it all through the checkout.

Poohbear – Be careful with your spoons and be gentle with yourself (((hugs)))

Soappie – Hope today was a far better one work wise

Mumto5 – Sending(((hugs))) and will be thinking of you

Natty – So, so glad he is home, great news

Bonnie Bumpkins – glad the hiding plan worked and hope they’ve gone now

Ionafan – Hope the tests went well and you OH listens and takes it easy

CY – Hope DD is ensconced at the Youth Hostel now and getting her spoon intake back up with abit of a rest. I’m sure she will thoroughly enjoy her trip away when she starts on it but might have a bit of payback when she gets back. When I was single (on the very odd trip I had on my own after becoming ill) I always text Mam a couple of times a day to put her mind at rest that I was ok and not needed any visits to health establishments.

LisaJane –congrats on your first week here

Valli – Hope Dr's went well

Fizzwizz – Hit here, nice to meet you

Roxy - Hi there, nice to meet you too

Juliejim – *puts hand up* another CSI fan here

I haven't been to the docs yet. Appointment is at 7pm

I used to like a snowball back in the day. We used to drink Alf's special snowballs - tall glass, advocaat, orange juice, brandy and 2 babychams. (I think) Ooh they were good. Plus a fruit portion.

They were £2. In the early 80s

CY I'm working in London tomorrow and have flexible hours - and a one-day travel card all zones - I'm very happy to meet your DD and see her onto the tube if it will help her?

I know neither of you know me but there are some flyladies who have met me in real life and - I hope - will vouch for me being of reasonably sound mind ;) I just thought it might help if she knew there was going to be someone to meet her. Don't want to interfere though, just pm me if you need x

She's as mad as a box of frogs... Not really. She's as lovely as her user name suggests.

CY I hope the journey is uneventful. I can understand your concerns. Calming vibes heading your direction.

I've had a very productive day. The WM is on its 8th load and it is all drying quickly on the line as we are warm and sunny in Essex.

Children's bikes have all been serviced and lots of money has been Decluttered in the process. DH is really getting into his new to him bike. I haven't sat on mine yet (wearing the wrong clothes).

A fabulous flylady has done me a favour and I hope to thank her personally later.
