    Hi all

LOL at me and my typo! Advocate not advocat. My mum has a bottle or warnicks (sp?) that comes out every christmas for the annual 'snowball'. She does drink socially throughout the year but the 'snowball' is reserved for then.

In my yoof I drank Archers & lemonade, I recently brought the Ald! version. It is very nice and refreshing on a hot summers day.

No house flying for me when I got home, I flew in the garden. I've finally planted the plants still in pots from the nursery. They had become a bit of a frog in my head, well the getting out there and doing it. I actually enjoy gardening, watching the plants grow & bloom but I've spent months getting it sorted (previous owners not gardeners and by the looks of it managed to bury stuff - bits of plastic, broken crockery - in the soil.) and I'm not finished yet with the clearing and planting.

I hurt my back though so off for a bath in epsom salts to see if that helps.

Dusty get well soon vibes to DS3 and immune boosting vibes to you so you don't get it.

    Welcome to the newbies

  • What a busy day, been to the school to clean and boy does it need it. Really has to be ready and set up for the 17th. I've done the kitchen but it's the one at the school, does that still count...:rotfl:Tomorrows job is all the toilets at the school plus I've to play taxi for awhile and then back to the school to finish the small office rooms. Then I have Miss Eva tomorrow night to babysit and she's so clingy to her parents at the minute so that should be fun.

I've my letter wrote and I've all down that I wanted to say, actually i'm really pleased with it so i'll post that in the morning.

Now to go and remake our bed and get some sleep. Yawnnnnn See you all in the morning..

Very messy start to the day; thought i'd be all efficient and make a blackcurrant mousse out of the final punnet that won't fit in the freezer, before going to the gym. Warning: never ever ever leave blackcurrants simmering on the stove then go upstairs to clean your teeth........blimey what a mess. After I'd mopped the floor, pan, cooker ring and everything in a 6ft range..........left the bu**er cooling as now late for gym so no time to assemble the rest of the ingredients.

However....after 2 classes, booking eyelash tint 'n stuff at the gym (lucky the August specials link 2 pre-holiday treatments I'd have booked anyway), met friend at garden centre for lunch. Browsed through sale, and nice yellow hand-held food macerator was reduced. Just right for whizzing up blackcurrant mousse, £10 off plus I was given garden vouchers as a leaving present from work. Sorted.

What else have I achieved today? hmm. Mousse great.
    filled bird feeders
re-potted new (free from Telegraph bar postage) blueberry plants
    watered other plants
tried on various clothes to start holiday 'pile'
did bit of Spanish lesson on new tablet
emptied dishwasher and did messy pans and mousse equipment by hand
went through other holiday stuff e.g. sorting bags, checking routes
wrote stroppy email to Amazon to follow up unsuitable goods - seller was meant to contact me within 2 days but that was on 19th July.

all in all, a very 'bits & pieces' day - but feel fairly pleased.

Well, the lists have gone undone. But I have got all of the washing done and out of the lounge. Unfortunately, the little grotters bedrooms have got everything emptied out and onto the floors. Swines. They will have to put it all away before we go out tomorrow so I shall be setting an early alarm for them. So disappointed in them, I gave them all their clean clothes bits at a time so they could take them straight up and put them away and now they're going to have to resold everything.
MiL is spending the day here tomorrow as she got DH to order her a new unit which is being delivered here but I already had plans.
She asked if I minded if she potters. Not at all! Love that lady, the house will be gleaming when I get home :D.

    Update before bed again here.

Hugs, spoons, appropriate vibes, congrats and yays as appropriate. I've lost track of who said what now as I've been tidying up and sorting stuff out for paid stuff tomorrow.

Just realised I forgot to text my sis about leaving her returns here for the courier to pick up :wall: Doubt she'll want text now, which means she's missed it again as the courier is here by 8am most delivery days

As far as my work goes, everything is as prepared as it can be so I'm hoping tomorrow goes without a hitch. Best bit will be going outside further than the bin now the sunburn is just itching & peeling so I'll be able to cover it up :D

Binmen are "in dispute" so the bins haven't been emptied this week yet. Any flinging which isn't recycling or putting to one side for the charity shop is not going to happen. Our bin is nearly full already and I've already seen people filling up other peoples bins with their excess bags :( Apparently they're working to rule so all the council can advise is leave your bins out each day and they will get emptied at some point!

I am off to bed. I need to be up at 6am as I'm hoping to squeeze in a bath before the courier arrives. I've not washed my hair or had a proper bath since Thursday as getting in or out the bath was too painful on my shoulders. I've really missed my old house with its walk in shower, or even other family houses who can take a shower these past few days but I shall enjoy a chillaxing bath on Saturday while DD is out with ex ;)
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • *Skinty sneaks in whistling* - no flying to report.....out of spoons, return of the black dog so having a major struggle.

Horsepiddle visit today to mangle my jaws about again, took DD3 with me (don't think I would have managed it otherwise)

Car is currently running on fumes as I can't face getting out of the car to trigger the fuel in it, then go into the kiosk and pay (as much as I love and trust DD1, giving her my PIN is a no-no)

DD1 and DD3 are on cooking duty and I am hauled up back in my BR for the forseeable.

Will try better to do some flying in here and ensuite tomorrow.....even just a little bit. Night all

:j Ollie, naughty puddy, glad you got yourself home
The cold never bothered me anyway
