  • Have a think about what's been said here. Somebody's just been scammed for £600 they can ill afford, comes on a forum looking for helpful advice and they get this:

"Dave do you think you should be wasting time attending University, if you are not going to adopt some common sense to your life?
I didn't/won't read the whole post as since I got to ebay , vehicle purchase without viewing 1st, it makes me wonder if you can give me my time back for what I read and the time to reply.
It was as stupid thing to do, and in my eyes people are not allowed to be stupid.
As the saying goes, prevention is better than cure. "

    Absolutely disgraceful.

And to follow it up with some of the other stuff that was said. Some of you people should be ashamed.

What exactly is your game? The bike is nothing close to what the seller said in their ad. Nothing even close. Why are you trying to defend them? Is this some kind of trolling exercise? Not only have you refused to be helpful in any way, but you seem to think that there's really nothing amiss here to be complaining about. It is a total non runner with bits falling off it. Have you even read the description in the ebay ad?

Just a bit of friendly advise, I stuck up for you in an earlier post. You need to try to be a bit more friendly if you are asking for advise, as I have said some might have been a bit harsh but you are not helping yourself by being rude back. You need help and advise - they don't. Someone might be along later who may be able to give some good helpful advise but they won't post if you continue to be rude.

If ebay or paypal will not do anything
Then just put it down to experience (hard to do sometimes)
    Owing on CC £00.00 :j

  • I do not really accept that I've been stupid either. I'm not able to get out due to surgery, am subject to a compressed timeframe in which I have to buy a new bike an find a house to live in within the next month, and needed to get something done as soon as possible. I was operating according to the perfectly credible belief that items bought through ebay using paypal and delivered by courier arranged by the seller were covered by paypal protection.

I don't really feel like, in addition to my woes, I should really be having to explain this stuff strenuously on here, and I especially do not feel like I should be subjected to insults from people who haven't even bothered to read the details of the situation.

There was nothing unfriendly or warranting of insults in my first post. The insulting began with the first respondent.

Yeah I've read the listing and your point is what?

    It has some cosmetic damage.

Have you ruled out the battery maybe flat?

Isn't suggesting the small claims court helpful to you then?

You started the insults calling posters !!!!!! when all they did was state the obvious. You were stupid in the way you bought the bike.;)

It's not like your new to motorcycling is it?

Face up to the fact you have been stupid.
