It is simply not fit for public consumption. In my opinion you should secret yourself to a secluded location and stay there until you're dead. That way nobody else will have to listen to your bilious nonsense. Short of that, if you would kindly stop commenting on my thread, that would be most appreciated.
Whilst people do daft things like you have done, you can expect the replies you have, exotic words but no common sense
You opened the thread, but it is a public forum, if you are going to act daft as you have in your opening post, then why not stop posting on firums, ebay itself has a forum for whiners does it not?0 -
Do you have an actual mental defect? The ignition wires are severed. Do you know what that means? Please stop commenting on this thread.0

You have to focus on the main issue here. If you can get an independent professional to confirm that it is incapable of being started and run, sue the seller. Even privateers are not allowed to blatantly lie about the condition of the goods they are selling.
Take him to Small Claims in Edinburgh.0 -

Would it need to be in Edinburgh or could I sue him in Sheffield? (I assume I'd have to attend court wherever the suit occurred)0 -

I think you should be able to sue in Sheffield without any isuses; have just read http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/small-claims-court but cannot see any location restrictions.0 -
Blackbeard will now interrupt for the hard of reading
Student, who could not get a job at 16, has got a masters degree in no common sense. Buys a bike of ebay without seeing it and thinks he knows it all.

It is seriously misdescribed. For one thing, it doesn't run at all, never mind running perfectly, but there are about 10 separate inaccuracies or downright lies in the listing. We should have the cooperation of the courier who delivered it regarding the identity of the person who handed it off to him and their address, as he is also quite annoyed with the seller, who didn't pay him (told him that the recipient would be paying).
Are you related to the courier?
He don't sound so sharp either.0 -
Options would appear to be
Chargeback from your credit card company (find out how this works)
Small claims court for the £600 as it is clearly misrepresented.
(The courier can do a small claims for his £50 also)
Fix the thing yourself.
Download a manual, spend a day sorting the wiring so it runs then fix the cosmetics, looks like a good one is worth £1000 so you could still be in pocket. Can't be much to the wiring on those little bikes, gives you a new interest, and a chance to learn more skills.
It does look good in the pictures, but I'd have been wary of not seeing the left hand side, as it could have been down the road on its left, and look perfect on the right.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

This forum is a complete disgrace. Granted there are a few genuinely helpful people here, but they appear to be lost in a sea of total buffoons. I've never seen anything quite like it, honestly. You people should be ashamed of yourselves. But I don't think you have enough rattling around in your craniums to quite grasp how phenomenally useless and unhelpful, and then offensive on top of it, you've been.
Have you ever heard this little pearl: If you don't have anything helpful to say, don't say anything? I've got a feeling many here would be muter than a Trappist monk if they followed that advice fully.0 -
I'm pretty sure (that means check yourself!) that in Scotland the appropriate court is the one geographically linked to the defender.0
