This is wrong. Where I work there are people on £13k and people on £60k and many in between. And yet we have a collective bargaining agreement in place covering all these employees.
No one with a rise will care about the 4 who didn't get one

It is. I did the same job as someone but I was expected to stand in for the boss as I was senior. This was not in my contract or part of my job but expected of me.
I was just told DO IT!! No pay rise no nothing in fact one year I did get just that, nothing when others got 4% for knowing less!
A company will say 'you all do the same job' to suit them trust me they do , do it!
Yes this is exactly my point. If its just you negotiating as an individual then you have very little bargaining power. Thus when told to cover for the boss, if you ask for more money you are told you can't have any.0 -

If this is a concern then either withhold pay increments or implement a performance related pay system? We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Sorry I don't understand what you mean? You said individual negotiations did not produce a satisfactory outcome!
You can not all bargain with a company and all get different pay rises or maybe get the one you have put down. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
