The only person that seems intrigued by it is you, it's 8.3 years old actually, what's up did you GF run off with somebody in a 10 a penny Golf? As something has really stirred you up today.

Is there any need to get personal?

He probably don't live with mommy, like you still do.;)

You've made it in life. If only we all owned an old Golf.

    Keep waving the pecker.

An 8 odd year old car you both see as a pinnacle in life? How strange.

Does she write their names on their receipts?

Yes it is the truth that you both feel that way, life is not about appeasing you.
Perhaps then you should tell the OP that her Dad had purchased an over priced knacker. I have too, but as I earned the money I get the choice.
I posted the pic for the OP, if it offends you or you feel there were other motives then tough luck, get over it, there was already an explanation of why the pic was posted, if you cannot or choose not to understand then tough luck get over it.
If there are other reasons you personally have issue with the brand then contact Martin Winterkorn.

Funny how Gaz237 highlights DUTR's picture of his Golf, and comments 'Your post was very helpful to the Op. Not', and says nothing about 'TradePro's' picture of scrap metal with the quote 'Das Auto'.
Nice pic of a very nice car anyway!
I can only think there is some sort of jealousy. Got to say from a personal point of view, having never been fixed to one brand, and having owned a Honda, Toyota, Peugeot, VW, Seat, Ford, Saab, and Mazda, the VW was the best all rounder with build quality being the best. Honda was reliable yes, but felt quite cheap inside and plastic/flimsy.

I hate to agree there, however I don't even know why there is any need to for any kind of envy after all it is an old car now, and I have explained several times in the thread of why the pic was posted (similar car and age to the OP's Fathers example) .
I'm semi certain either or both are not envious really, but then my mind is swayed when the one especially harps on about WW etc, simply view move on and be done with it, they need not be incensed by the posting of a picture and did it really harm anybody?
