how can anyone be so stuck up and judgmental when they have never owned one of these or know how they work.
also it is clear this thread is full of users that cant read so for the LAST TIME.
The shock is just a feature of the item, just like many features you have on a mobile phone that you never use or intend on using.
The SHOCK feature was never going to be used as i stated many times, but people on here just dont have the sense to READ. also the shock on these things is less than the shock you would get from a faulty light fitting or plug.0 -

The shock you describe is enough to kill a healthy child

Read this and see if you still don't think that they can be dangerous.

It has ce mark etc. and was posted from within UK, although if you could read then you would read this at the beginning of thread which has now turned into an attack on the OP which is against forum rules.0 -
They're illegal in wales, expect the rest of the UK to follow in due course.

I don't believe for a second that you weren't going to use the shock feature, how did you find out that it doesn't work?
Please buy this instead:

earthstorm wrote: »thats the unit that fits on the collar that vibrates and the pins have soft attachments that fit on them once you insert the battery which would transfer the shock if you use this feature.
as you see on the remote the 4 buttons, shock, light, vibrate and audio . scroll down the listing and you will see how it fits together.
Still disgusted - A true animal lover wouldn't even drean of anything like this.
Shame on you0 -

Most things made in China have a CE mark, doesn't actually mean it is a REAL CE mark.
China = fakes. Off all things, including CE marks.

because i tested the vibrate function and though i would fully test before using it as any normal person would.
Unless people get one of these and see how they work and the results they produce then dont judge what you dont know anything about.
so you use every single function you have on your mobile phone. I bet you dont.0 -

My mobile phone doesn't have an app for hurting my dogs. Forgive me for being somewhat suspicious that you only mentioned you weren't going to use the shock function when people started to point out how despicably cruel it is.
Negative reinforcement is not the way to go, please don't go and buy another aversive instead of this, please get the book I linked to, or a similar one, or go and post on a pet forum to get some advice about how to cope with your dog's behaviour without resorting to injuring him.0
