Recently ordered a DOG TRAINING STATIC ELECTRIC SHOCK COLLAR from an ebay seller.
This is not working so i sent the seller this message
This is not working so i sent the seller this message
but i was not expecting a reply like this from themHi
Item arrived but we notice that the static impulse and vibrate does not work, so the only function we have is the light and the bird sound
Naturally i wont pay the extra £3.50 as why should i pay to replace a faulty item.Hi,
Thanks a lot for your message, I am sorry to hear that.
Could you pls kindly pay us extra 3.50GBP? I would like to post another new set to you.
Because there is no necessary for you to return the first set back to test.
Is that ok?
Looking forward to your early reply.
Best Regards

Was this from a uk ebay seller?
Ebay does not require a seller to pay for return postage for a faulty item or not as described, however an ebay seller who values their feedback will pay for return postage.
You can open a not as described case but you will have to pay the return postage. Is it worth paying to send it back tracked? You will then be refunded only the original item cost and postage. Only other option you have is to leave feedback based on your buying experience.
Downfall of buying from ebay I'm afraid. I think ebay is making all private and business sellers pay for the return of faulty/not described items, not sure when though.:heart2:Mummy to a beautiful little girl:heart2:
£2014 in 2014 challenge. £71/£20140 -
Contact Ebay and tell them what happened, they may intervene and get you a refund or voucher for return postage.
I'm assuming this is an overseas seller, so options are limited but in your situation I certainly wouldn't pay for a replacement when there is no knowing if that will work either..0 -
Also, if it's a Chinese seller they are usually quite keen on not getting bad feedback or low DSRs so can often be quite helpful, so may be worth replying that you don't want to send them any more money. They may just send you a new one anyway..0

This seller wont get very far trying to operate like that in this country.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Your statutory rights are not affected.0

this is another point i have raised with eBay.
I do have some friends that are chines and reg in china, but their seller contact details show their UK address, but this sellers show an address in china0 -
Basically, they've asked you for more money because they didn't get it right.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Your statutory rights are not affected.0

In that case I would be stubborn about it. If item location showed the UK, then I would open an NPB case and be prepared to send it back tracked..yes it will cost you money but it will inconvenience them as well. There is also the chance eBay will provide a return label.
Once it has all be finalised I would express my concern at faulty products being shipped in their feedback.
