I hope so. I'm starting to feel very anxious at having that amount of money just sitting in my PayPal account.0 -

Banks do not reverse payments due to fraud, the only possible scam is the fake email from your bank one. That is so easy to avoid by merely checking your bank direct.
There is virtually no fraud at all that can be done with a bank transfer where a seller can lose out.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If done by bank transfer make sure all details are correct otherwise you may lose the payment and no reverse payments means just that. If it's wrong it won't be reversed.
Also, if the buyer claims the item has not been received and if you haven't been paid by Paypal or sent to the confirmed Paypal address it may cause problems.0 -
So if the buyer cancels the sale and agrees to pay me by bank transfer and the deal is done outside of ebay, surely she doesn't have a leg to stand on regarding item not received?0

She shouldn't have, no. Not sure about if she doesn't agree to cancel it though and I'm sure she could still give bad feedback if she wanted.0 -

If a buyer doesn't use PayPal then they have no PayPal buyer protection. The transaction though will still be an eBay one so buyer can leave feedback.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I'm thinking of doing the bank transfer instead and doing the deal outside of ebay.0
