oops got so excited over my slow cooking that I forgot to post.....
Yesterday was very nearly a nsd, didnt leave the house until 8pm, but dragged dh and dd down mr.T to do a small shop of £29, hoping it lasts the week, I usually spend about £50 a week. stocked up on pet food 2 so that I dont have to cart it home myself with either bump or newborn!
Will be very impressed if that shop lasts me the week... I'm working my way through the half packets in the freezer, got three finished up yesterdayto make room for some batch cooking! Found 3 unopened bags of chips in the one freezer, we rarely eat them, but will be this week!!! :rotfl:
I'm thinking - Egg & chips, ham & chips, corned beef & chips, Spam & chips, sausage & chips and chip butties for lunch?? What do u think??
urgh sounds disgusting, I only eat chips when mash doesn't go with it, or pasta or rice.... or if I'm at the beach...
Anyway I'll be back later to let u all know how I've behaved...Still here..... but working on that!0 -
Morning all
Ooh new September thread - can't wait to get started again, planning a really quiet September apart from holiday.
NSK - don't know if you missed my question or I missed your answer, but if I have put aside £100 for spends on holiday andI don't spend any more than that, do I count them as SFDs? I have been saving £10 a month for the past 10 months for my spendsThanks xx
Plans today - food from stores (although need a packet cheese sauce mix), pilates at lunchtime so no spend there and straight home via cheese sauce! So should be a very minimal spend (70p).
Mum and Dad here today, hooray!

Me too Abundant! I'm over my food budget aswell, really need to do a stock take and some batch cooking, though I'd need a cauldron to batch cook for all 7 of us!
I have (yesterday) hit my August target of 20 NSD :j and I'm pretty proud of myself for my first month, especially as it's the Summer and I've taken the kids out at least twice every week - I think we have visited every free park and field in a 20 mile radius! I didn't manage my 6-in-a-rowbut I did do 5-in-a-row and I'm trying again in September

[STRIKE]LittleSkintDragon[/STRIKE]...I MEANT LILLIAN!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:- I remembered you last night when I was writing the thread so thought I would add it in along with the other rules - it makes like a little easier when you are already having a cheap break away from it all.
So yes - if you have £100 for a three day holiday and you don't go over that £100 - then all three are SFD's as the money has been put away prior to the holiday and presumably using the wages from last month. Even using this months wages this is still ok.
This does NOT include impromptu days out to bend the SFD rules - ONLY if you are on a pre-planned holibib,...
Is that ok?“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0
