I have (yesterday) hit my August target of 20 NSD :j and I'm pretty proud of myself for my first month, especially as it's the Summer and I've taken the kids out at least twice every week - I think we have visited every free park and field in a 20 mile radius! I didn't manage my 6-in-a-rowbut I did do 5-in-a-row and I'm trying again in September
This is an amazing feat! Well done! You should be proud of yourself! I am doing only Everyday Value foods / Morrisons Saver / Sainsbury's Basic and Asda Chosen by you for th entire month - dare you join me?
Love the cauldren idea...:rotfl:“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. So yes - if you have £100 for a three day holiday and you don't go over that £100 - then all three are SFD's as the money has been put away prior to the holiday and presumably using the wages from last month. Even using this months wages this is still ok.
This does NOT include impromptu days out to bend the SFD rules - ONLY if you are on a pre-planned holibib,...
Is that ok?
Thanks so much, that will certainly help me to SFD target next month! xxMy debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Spending to confess - £1.26 on cold meat for butties and 99p on some face moisturiser as I'm running low. £1.59 left in my purse now to see me through to the 11th September. Hmmm...still got 8 days worth of lunches to do for hubby...he may have to have soup and bread for a few days as I've 3 eggs left and a smidgen of grated cheese. I could buy a 7pack of crisps from pound shop, he'd happily live off crisp butties0

Afternoon all - well we are in tidy the house mode - need to pack for hols tomorrow and on the off chance someone wants to look around while away we need to leave house immaculate. In some ways its a pain but when we got back from Scotland it was lovely to come home to.
Anyway, washed all the beds - tidied around a bit - off to iron bed linen, hoover and try and stop squiglets throttling each other!!
Not going to be a sfd - need to pick up a few bits for the travel. I have however ditched the chip shop tea plan and roasted all the veg that was ready in the greenhouse with the bits in the bottom of the fridge, will be served with pasta pesto and chunks of feta cheese instead!
Love to all - will check into September when Im back - if Im spending holiday pennies that could mean a huge 8 sfds - can that be right?????
LAGL xxDebt free on the 28/05/130 -
Running through again but I have signed up for Sept challenge.
I ended up shopping on the 27th and spent just over £25. I shouldn't need anything else so will hopefully come in just under budget.
Yesterday and today are sfds so I have hit 20!
Have a great afternoon all

Hi all,
Finally pay day has arrived :j
The bad news......Unfortunately I went £80 overbudget, this was £20 petrol and £60 due to me drunkenly inviting friends over for the bank holiday
I really shouldn't grumble too much, the £60 covered drinks in the house, a full meal for all of us and drinks when we went out. In the bad old days there wouldn't have been too much change from £160 let alone £60  .... and we all had a brilliant time
The good news.....we hit 20 NSD the day before pay day :T:T:T
The brilliant news.....we've paid off the Santander CC, it was the lowest amount but it's so good to be able to cut it up and delete it from my spreadsheets, only 6 more debtors to go
Has anyone else noticed it's so much easier to reconcile your bank account when you've only been spending on certain days and every spend has been well thought out in advance
Well I'm off to sign up for the September challenge and hope to see you all there.
Lily x xLBM = Jan 1st 2013 - £42,000 owed DFD = Christmas Eve 2014:D

Nsd number 11 for me today, had a cheque off my lovely dad which ive banked, but not spent anything at all
Whilst i was at the bank i pulled all of the money out for sept :-/ not sure it was the right thing to do, but i'm going to envelope it in little weekly money bags and put my cc's in the freezer. Ive not used them unnecessarily this month except for a few xmas pressies, which were a bargain and a birthday pressie for my nan.will pay those off next month when the bill comes.Still here..... but working on that!0
