Short_Bird you are right! So lovely toasted and so easily done! Ha! .. I have heard the little old ladies who like good products are getting more and more ruthless these days. Maybe I should relish my little store... although considered buying reduced Duchy's bacon for the cat I thought better of it still at £2.69 and so unhealthy....“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. How cheap does that make it?“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. I think I fell out of love with eBay a long time ago. Might be time to give it another go. One vintage dress in time for Goodwood in September and some barely worn Hawes and Curtis work shirts.
Hmmmm might be able to dig out a lot more and through it on for 99p. I wonder how many items I can find?
Anyone else spending their free time, will power and common sense mucking around with fleabay all day...?“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Car was more expensive than I thought - needed more work done than I thought. £250
Lots of forced sfds coming up as we have hardly any month left. Today should be the first as I put petrol in the car last night.
I intend to make the most of my NT membership over the next fortnight before school and work starts again. DD had a friend stay over last night and I had planned to take them fruit picking today, but both of our farms are out of fruit at the moment . Hopefully we'll get our hands on some late raspberries over the next couple of weeks at some point.
Best go. DS has just fallen off a wall and banged his head. Hope this is not another trip to minor injuries coming up. :cool:Ninja Saving Turtle0 -
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone doing this challenge - its the first time I'm taking part and although i'm not doing amazingly well as you can see from my signature I've managed to knock off over a month from my DFD by being thrifty thanks to being part of this challenge and being motivated by reading what everyone else is doing, so thanks!
Kat - I'm no fan of eBay as it always takes me ages to list things for like a 1p profit but I'm feeling the need to sell some DVDs I don't want anymore but dont know if eBay is the best way to do it?0 -
Andrar these are the guys I used once. SO easy. Although best to Google reviews and see how you feel towards one company. http://www.webuydvds.co.uk/“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Try Music magpie for DVDS? you might not get much more but you might find it less of a faff overall especially as they have shops you can drop things at and you can get shot of them all once.
Although I try to use the PO as much as possible it can be difficult to get there when I am at work.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
Afternoon everyone
While we're on the subject of places to sell stuff, does anyone have experience of selling mobile phones? I've read horrible reviews of CEX and Mobile Phone Xchange. I thought about the dreaded fleabay, but by the time they've taken their 10% cut and Paypal have taken theirs, a high street place that I can just take it to (or a reliable internet based company) would be easier...I think?0 -
Hello all,
Still no SFDs to announce. Treated us to a chippy tea last night costing £4.70 leaving me with £2.31 in my purse from the week's budget
Payday today so been sorting out the finances. I know I started this challenge saying we were going to budget for £100 a week but I'm going to try £80 a week as I've already spent £21 on pet supplies on the CC for the coming month and I want to put a bit aside each week for unexpected spends.
Today won't be a SFD either as I have to buy catfood for Scrappy as he's off to my mum's for a week or two to de-stress (yes my cat is officially stressed according to the vet, a "holiday" may prevent us have to give him tablets again!)0 -
Evening All,
Not felt like posting this week, combination of pmt & job stress as contract ends in 2 weeks and no confirmation of extension as yet.
I have managed 1 SFD this week, total of 8. I am keeping a close eye on my finances as have car tax, a weekend camping and week in Spain in next few weeks.
I have declined a night out for a quiet night on sofa with a cider and will do a food inventory of cupboards/freezer and meal plan for last 2 weeks to minimise spends.
Have a good evening all Eh xx0
