ACan someone clarify, if Direct Debit's leave my account on any day, do we claim that as an expense on the day or is it purely money you have gone out of your way to spend, i.e. cash from wallet/on c.c.?
Keep at it everyone
Money out of purse is all that counts! Hey all...
Definitely sounds like a breakthrough Karmachi... am well impressed with your birthday mentality!!! Well done.
Dan - knocking down ceilings sounds kinda therapeutic... though think i'd rather watch and be on tea making duty ha ha!!!
Kat - ha ha! Laughing at your advert. My mate said when he started juicing he noticed the sheer volume of ads on the radio and TV commercials that were food related... and just how we are 'sold' stuff incessantly. Crazy!
Today = SFD number 10

Good eveing all. Stuck at work. I want to leave early as does everyone else. Can't justify over 1.5 hours early so sitting tight for a while. I went to Tesco though. Whoop!!!!! ... I HAVE FOOOOOOOOOOD!!!:T:T:T
Spoke with LLL last night and advised her I would need more space in the freezer. There is a carnivores dream in there it's unreal. She was gifted many items from a friends father who was a butcher. So to my amazment when I went to fit in a loaf of Burgens Soya and Linseed that I got in Waitrose on the cheap (69p)....... ( clearly they are all a little too posh to been seen dead with a reduced sticker - oooh the shame!!! )....I was greeted by a plethora of carcasses - namely steak, fish, lamb leg I think, shrimps, bacon, sausages and other such delights. In every crevice.
My inner vegan wretched. Who wants meat shoved in every crevice.....:rotfl:
Moving on.......
I have plans for falafel burgers with a spicy beans addage with a ton of corriander and onions. That will make 8 small ones. Albeit I cheat sometimes and use a falafel packet mix to start me off.
I have bought ingredients today to top up my cupboards and make vegan Mac&Cheeze with Nutritional Yeast.
A smoked BBQ chilli with black beans (£3:eek: for 500g dried) and black eyed peas a la "Oh She Glows"
I have lots of avocados ready to ripen at home and screaming to help me wave bye bye bye to the juice diet.
I have realised I am not good at with-holding food (already eaten a colleagues offer of a donut ) and am much better at restrictions (no chocolate, dairy, etc )...
However I now have about £16 left of my food budget which will be more than enough to see me through to then end. Expecially as I have non-juiced veggies left in my fridgesaurous.
Over and Out until I have eaten...
(Becky you are not allowed to follow suit. I have finished all my juices and was up half the weekend ingesting more. Wait until the 8th day to eat)....
Onwards!!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Happy Birthday karmachilovething!!
nannygladys Hope you're ok! It's nearly the weekend!
6/20 SFDs for me. Worked from home the last 2 days- so no shop temptations for me!
Having had my car insurance quote waiting to be paid in my email account, I think tomorrow or Saturday will have to be a spend day. I have the money aside to pay the whole thing outright for the year- no credit- so so liberating!!:coffee:

Hi
Running through tonight and haven't got time to catch up on the posts but I will read through them at the weekend. Hope everyone is well though.
£36.78 spent in Mr T on Tuesday. Weds and today have been sfd. We're taking the children out tomorrow so it will be a spend day but we have organised a picnic so shouldn't spend too much.
Hope you all have a good Friday

Seriously! I was about to use a voucher I'd been sent by an online retailer to buy a new top as a "birthday treat," but then I realised that
a) I don't NEED a new top
b) What I'd spend would be more than I'd save using the voucher
c) It is more of a treat to myself to keep my money than give it away! (besides the fact that actually I'll be giving it to B4rclays for my overdraft, but that's by the by)
Massive MSE thinking breakthrough! I must be getting mature or something :rotfl:
Ha ha, this made me laughIt was my birthday this week as well and I celebrated by going to work, not spending, and adding in a few hours overtime at the end of my shift :A
I tried to make a pact to exercise at least 3 times every single week til my next birthday (so far that's been a big fat fail) and drink 1.5l of water every day as well (hmm, not great but I'm slowly getting there). I downloaded the 0-5k podcast from the nhs website and eh, that's as far as I've got. By the end of the week though I'll have taken a yoga class (got a 10 class pass that I've already paid for) and made my initial attempt at the podcast!!
I had a bit of a panic spend (the worst kind!!!). I couldn't find my earphones and I had a long work journey to go on so I bought a new set which cost £11.49  They're still in the packet though and (confession time) I just upgraded my phone (better deal, got cashback, will sell current handset and just about break even - phew!). The new phone will come with new earphones so I can take my impulse buy back for a refundAll's well that ends well!!
Kat, that smoked bbq chilli looks AMAZING!!! I've not seen that website before but there's lots of yummy dishes on there - mmmm
Abundant, I'm glad the whole two wallet thing is working out for you. I couldn't do it any other way!
Clocked up another few SFDs and, now that we're half way through the month, I'm confident all will be ok! My figures for August are...
Food: £53.26/£100
Petrol: £50/£50
SFD: 8/20
Misc: £62.14/£100 (that includes the earphone spend so will be £11.49 less very soon)0 -

That bread's brilliant, dead easy to toast from frozen
The scrum round the reduced section in Waitr0se round here? No, they ain't too posh for yellow stickers. Especially when it comes to posh turkey @ Xmas‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.
