Sorry I have been awol for a few days.

The saga of the 0% on purchases for 6 months CC continues. I went shopping on Saturday and tried to use the card with the newly discovered pin, my card kept being declined. However, I saw a tweet from Martin on here about problems with Barclays' systems being down. I honestly can no longer be bothered to spend on the blasted card. It's so annoying that I spent my food shopping cash on an op for my loan, before I tested the card. I am now using my debit card for my shopping which is going to leave me overdrawn at the end of the month. My OD apr is higher than my loan apr so a loss there. although I have decided to use my misc budget for my shopping to reduce the damage. I am also petrified of not having enough money to hand to clear any outstanding balance once the promotion ends as the apr jumps to 29.9%. I'd rather keep my debts to a total of just two, my existing loan and existing CC.

Work has been absolutely awful, to the point that I have cancelled 4 extra shifts I was down to do. The money would have been useful, but I am so angry with a situation that occurred on Sunday, that hitting them where it hurts (the severely understaffed rota) is my only method of retaliation, even if I lose out in the process. My loan was on-course to finish in December a whole 12 months early, but I guess that won't happen now, more likely March 2014, still 9 months early though. Although I want to try and clear it by December 2013. I still have loads to sell on Ebay, I can re-budget, I can find a second or Xmas job to clear the loan, I haven't given up yet.

Today will be a SFD so I will be on 10 so far. My food total is creeping up, but I have lots in and determined to stick to the budget.

    Signature updated.

  • Hi all,
I've been missing a few days because mse took it upon themselves to not allow me to log onto the forums for a couple of days. I don't know why, and nobody replied to my emails to mse. Wonder if I've been naughty???

Anyway. I've bagged a couple of nsd's and gotten the kids shoes for school sorted (kerching!). Tomorrow the car is in the garage for essential maintenance which should see no change from £200. Seems an awful long time to payday, but I'm in no real hurry because payday means it's almost back to work time...

Got the NT membership and me and the kids have just packed a picnic and are off out for a visit. That should give me another nsd today...

Where on earth has the summer sunshine gone?!?!?!?! I am so fed up with rain:mad:
Had an ok couple of days. Food spends have been really low as using up cupboard finds so have just needed extra bits to make those into meals. Been avoiding any unnecessary journeys in the car so petrol has been low too. Had to take my twins for their first haircut yesterday - that was one hell of a game trying to get them one after the other to stay still sat in the chair!!! Only took a packet of rice cakes and a huge bag of giant chocolate buttons!!! £16 for two childrens haircuts - is that a good price? Never been in a barbers before. (Plus £1 for the buttons!!!) Also had to get one of the boys new doodles shoes so that was another £15. No extras on the way back through town though - phew!
Have one of my very few social days tomorrow so will take with me what drinks etc... I can.
Hope you are all having a lovely day.

    Still having internet issues

Spent some of my last £10 of the week on crisps at Mr Ts yesterday to get Quidco clicksnap cashback (will get £2.50 back if it works hopefully so a 6 pack and a sharing bag essentially cost 49p) and will spend rest of my £10 on Orange Wednesday tonight. Got free bag of choc from Thorntons in town at lunchtime for basically joining their mailing list so plenty of goodies to smuggle in to the cinema tonight.

I really need to catch up on the thread...sure I saw a photo of a cow!

I'm declaring NSD 4/20 today as remembered my lunch for work and have been drinking water instead of my usual can of diet pop. After work just heading home so no spends today yay!
  • Oops forgot to pop in yesterday, where do the days go??

Yesterday wasnt a sfd unfortunately but today will be!

Did manage to get 4 mugs from House of Fraser for 63p!! I had £15 vouchers from my home insurance, couldnt decide what to buy as everything is just so expensive there, and then I thought itd b nice to have some matching mugs when people call to see the new baby in a few weeks. Well anyway they were on 4 for the price of three, and delivery was a couple of £, plus I used quidco and my S4nt4nder cash back cc, and ended up with four lovely new mugs for 63p :money: was trying to get something for free but 63p was not the end of the world!

Today should be a nsd i hope but shall have to declare it once the shops are closed as you never know what naughty things might crop up as the day goes on.

It's my first day of maternity leave today, and my friend called with her little one who is an absolute devil :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: Was so stressed when they left!

Just put Gammon in the cooker ready for tea, so thats at least a no spend!!

Will update totals later, have a good day everyone, I need to clean up now that my 'friend' has left...... :(
Still here..... but working on that!

I'm going home to make dessert to bring to work for my birthday tomorrow, which will be a fun way to spend the evening.
