Well folks.. I am home. Tried to take my friends baby off her hands...:rotfl:..she wasn't having it! Little dumpling's are so cute to hold. Am desperate to hear from Mrs Toast.. although I would guess anonymous people on MSE might be the last on her hit list..:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:...

My old landlady finally got in contact. Through one thing or another only £141 is coming back to me out of £433 deposit. I won't go on about how long it has taken for her to get back to me and what I had to put up with (no toilet seat for my entire time there) whilst I was there but the amount will reduce my monthly required over-payments to the DEBT... and mean I only need to pay back £444 a month extra.

This might seem hefty but it means I might get away with not having to fight for excessive amounts of overtime each month. I might be happy with 2 shifts extra a month to ensure I have some emergency money as every last penny is accounted for on this current plan.

It would reduce even more if the £30 put aside for Mummsies food intake wasn't needed. But I shan't get to excited about despite not having quite demolished the food stocks yet!:rotfl:

This means a little more stress alleviated from my plate - and means I will have to ensure my free time is adequately taken up with free activities..

Pa wanted some gardening Dvd's bought from Amazon for him via my account. He has given me the cash plus an extra 37p which might leave me enough to get rid of that £2.57 that is annoying me and leaving my total to be repaid looking so "untidy"..:p..but that will be deposited tomorrow into my account and we shall see.

    Whoop!

    Onwards Chickadees...

Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".

    Hi all

A small spend on Ebooks today...£7.66. Thats it. Desperately needed as stuck camping in the rain and we have relied on reading and games to keep us sane! Gorgeous day on Saturday but pretty foul today.

Not bad for a holiday methinks..

Will post the beetroot cake recipe when I get home I promise!

    Have a good week folks

Budget is based on 2 adults and 3 fish.

    Groceries $185.69 (116.06gbp)
    Supermarket store card $114.31 (71.44gbp)
    Petrol -me $140.00 (87.50gbp)
    Petrol -Hubby $240.00 (150.00gbp)
    Misc $20.00 (12.50gbp)
    Coffee card $37.42 (23.39gbp)
    Charity $4.80 (3.00gbp)
    TOTAL $742.22 (463.89gbp)

SFD 2/20 ( I get tied up in knots with keeping a record of these so this will probably be out of sync by the end of the month).

I've done a menu plan for the week and although I have quite a bit in my store cupboards I still have 17 items on my shopping list. I won't type the entire list but it will be interesting to see if I go over the 17 items.

This month I will be using a diary to keep track of the spends as I have some money in the house 'left over' from last month's allocation and I don't want to have to withdraw anything from the bank. I usually use the envelope/jam jar method :)

Okay then peeps, happy weekend and onwards and upwards.

Edited as Hubby had a store gift card in his wallet,,,,,,,,and now it's mine!:rotfl:

So I had a spendy day on Saturday as I (hopefully) did a week's shopping. Of the 17 items on the shopping list I wasn't able to get eggs so I'll have to get them another time, but then I came away with 19 items, thereby picking up 3 extra items (bread, cheese & marg). Spent 41.24gbp All NEEDS and no WANTS :j:j

I also bought some silicone muffin cups to make homemade muffins 7.56gbp, and I put petrol in the car which cost 18.75gbp.

Total spends for the day 67.55gbp

Sunday has been a stay-at-home day which has been very productive. Lots of washing done and dried, 2 batches of muffins are bagged up in the freezer, and it's also my 3rd SFD,

I've had a couple of tins of butternut squash and red pepper soup lurking in my cupboard as I didn't think it was very nice, so yesterday I combined one tin with a tin of tomatoes with herbs, and also added salt and lots of freshly ground black pepper. It bulked it up nicely and Hubby and I had it both Saturday and Sunday for our lunches, it was very nice and fairly cheap. Just one more tin to go :o Hubby made 4-Berry Forest Fruit Crumble with some frozen fruits, again a very cheap pud to go with the cheap soup :T

Back to work tomorrow, so time to rest up before the week ahead.

    Have a good one everybody.

    Stats:
    Groceries $6.50 / $185.69 (4.06gbp / 116.06gbp)
    Supermarket store card $59.48 / $114.31 (37.18gbp / 71.44gbp)
    Petrol -me $30.00 / $140.00 (18.75gbp / 87.50gbp)
    Petrol -Hubby $240.00 (150.00gbp)
    Misc $12.10 / $20.00 (7.56gbp / 12.50gbp)
    Coffee card $37.42 (23.39gbp)
    Charity $4.80 (3.00gbp)
    TOTAL $108.08 / $742.22 (67.55gbp / 463.89gbp)

    3/20 SFD

Spend day for me - my plan was to do and online grocery shop tonight for delivery tomorrow - however DD2 wanted to go to asda to get money change for holidays so thought I may as well get my shopping while I was there - I did a kind of list but bought quite a lot of reduced stuff. It came to £57 but that should last 2 weeks as it's only me and DD1 home this week. I also put fuel in the car - I normally fill up but decided to only put £30 in to see if I can make this last the month.

I also spoke to my mum about her Birthday and she would love me to cook rather than go out so just need to plan a really nice but MSE meal now!

Tomorrow won't be a NSD either as I need to take stripper back and pay for it! Not doing very well with these NSDs at all!
