Here's today's round-up from me as I shall be at work later.

So I walked to the laundrette in the blazing sun, slowly evaporating. Not long after I left the house I realised I had forgotten my cheapo wash tablets, but couldn't be bothered to walk back to the house to get them, far too hot! However, I still made a 20p saving on the washing. I tried to do a white and coloured wash but didn't have enough whites to fill a small washer and had too many coloureds to fit into a small washer, so I shoved it all in to one large washer, which worked out cheaper than two small washers, even with buying washing powder. I just prayed nothing ran in to my whites, nothing did.

I also remembered that my anti-virus renewal is only £39 this month and not the £45 I have allocated to it, so that's an extra £6 I have found. Which is just as well as I popped to Tesco and brought some things totalling £5.36. In the clearance section they are selling 1 litre bottles of Radox shower and shampoo for only £1.37 reduced from £5.49, I bought 2, apparently each bottle is good for 120 showers. I must remember to post that on the grabbit board. They are also selling toothbrushes a twin pack for 31p each (reduced from a £1 I think, my electric toothbrush broke and there is no way I am replacing it until I am debt free, so on manual at the moment) which works out 15.5p each, cheaper than their value ones which are 18p each

Anyhow, I am adding the £6 to my food budget, so a spend day today, but I have managed to gain £6.20

I need to update my signature.

    Hi everyone,

So far, August is shaping up to be a great month ha..

I've had a pretty good day for the following reasons:

    1) The weather, not sure where everyone is but it's been great in London.
    2) Pay day is tomorrow so received my payslip today, always a good feeling!
    3) Received a letter this morning saying I was owed a tax rebate of £59.90 - not as much as people around me seem to get year after year, but it's my first rebate and better than nothing!
    4) Not quite a SFD but a low spend day - £10.00 top up on my Oyster card and £9.21 on toiletries, chewing gum and some odd bits.

Hoping the month continues like this and I'm left with a large chunk of my wages at the end of the month.

First NSD today so staring off well

I have a big day out planned and a few smaller ones plus two birthday presents to buy so I have budgeted £100
    Food/tolietries etc £60
    Bills £410

The plan is to sell on ebay/do extra shifts and whatever else I can think of to try to make £100 so my days out are free.

Made all my lunches for the next two weeks and will try to avoid the supermarket until they run out.

    Maddie

Still working on what I want when I am debt free or what I want first...

Not a SFD as OH got some shorts, we had to buy parts to repair our van ( he will fit them though so no labour garage charges!), and I had to buy fuel otherwise would not have got home...but am due 3 months of mileage so need to apply for that...never seem to keep in top of that expense it seems..

Currently sitting in garden with a glass of wine..small pleasures. Haven't reached my goal of getting below £11k and won't do it this week as had planned, but next week is another week!!! Onwards and upwards!

Congrats to all on your journeys...we will get there!! And what a fine set of goals we have to enjoy when we do!

Not a SFD but reasonably low. £2.85 on snacks at the play barn and £10 for a college course that starts in October. It's a dressmaking for beginners course. My mum can make clothes but I thought I would benefit from some 'me' time once I've recovered.

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend and I'll hopefully be on soon to let you know we are all ok.

    Hi all

I had a bit of an eye opener today. I had said earlier that I was going to donate to the food bank but I didn't think there was any near me. There is one about 2 miles from my work and there are quite a few in N Ireland which has surprised me - it shouldn't have but it did.

Today isn't a SFD as I'm counting my nephews classes for the month as one. I spent £51 odd on diesel (liquid gold:o) and £5.63 in Mr Ts on coffee and cereal bars.
  • Hi everyone

Today wasn't a SFD unfortunately :-( I took my mum out to the pub and spent £26.80 on petrol, pub and ice cream. Tomorrow will be a NSD though I promise
