Well, ive just opened my envelope and out popped 2 graphic porno cd's! I was sitting with my 3 year old who caught a glimpse of the "boobies"!!! They are going straight in the bin, you never know what type of material is on the disk, strange thing is, they had my full address including estate i live on which i never put anywhere as usually just type our city. Very strange......0

Hi. Same issue here. Received both discs. Finding this forum and noticing no one checked the discs, i checked them on my portable dvd player (as it is not connected to the internet), one shows a 2 sec scene and then (both) require you to call one of two numbers to receive a pin to access scenes. So hopefully that points to the scam only being set up through either of these numbers or the unsubscribe number.
On a other note. i use sites like amazon, zavvi, play and recently CDWow to purchase goods. Is there a chance that a seller through one of these sites might have gotten our information?
i also have used all these sites to purchase goods (particularly amazon, play.com and CDwow) wouldnt be surprised if they sent my details to a thrid party. it is strange though as it had my full name (including middle name which i never put on online registration)0 -
I, too, received the unsolicited !!!!!! DVDs in the post this morning. Having popped one of the disks into a spare laptop, I can report the following:
There are no viruses.
The disk menu requests a pin code, and explains that to obtain said code you have to pay £10.00 via text or ring a high-cost phone number. An interesting marketing technique to say the least.
As for the police - they should be interested. It's probably a breach of the Obscene Publications Act.0 -
Another one here. Two disks arrived today. From East London.
Like others here I'm usually very cautious with my data, even using aliases with some companies. It's quite concerning how they got my full proper name and address.
I can't even think of any "dodgy" companies I've used my real name with, either.
So perhaps it's hacked data?0 -
I'm quite looking forward to going home to check the post this evening0

Same thing in the post when I got home today.
Disgraceful unsolicited marketing, I did a quick google onthe phone number and post code and got here. It’s lucky the small children in the house were elsewhere when I openedthe post!

Yep, Just got these disks in the post today too, but addressed to previous occupant....looked up the return address and came accross this forum so opened the envelope and exactly the same two disks inside....Does'nt look like a certain area of the country as we're in South Wales....very dodgy!0
