Is it a specific area of the country that's being targeted or people who've entered specific competitions?

Would like to know so there's no 'explaining' to do in our house!!!
  • So glad I'm not the only one who's had this today. As the name on mine was the one I only use for online retailers, I'm wondering how they got my details, aren't they supposed to be protected/encrypted :/
I was tempted to 'return to sender' but don't know if this would just let them know that the address is correct as with spam e-mail.

    I am from Devon.
  • Opening the mail in front of family is becoming risky business. How dare such filth be posted anonymously?!

Obviously a second rate company has passed on a lot of peoples' details to third parties.

Useful forum thread to confirm it is a scam.

London south, I've not entered any competitions.
  • I too have received these !!!!!! discs this morning, more embarrassingly I opened them in front of my mum! I did call the number on the disc - it's just a voicemail saying the mailbox is full and cannot accept new messages.

I'd be intrigued if anyone gets to the bottom of this.

  • Just had the CD/DVDs delivered to me at my parents address...just as well they have a sense of humour!
    Advised Dad to destroy them!

Doesn't look like it. I'm in Scotland. Looks like all over UK.

Terrible advice from the police. Maybe some police chief or politician will receive a letter and then they will be all over it.

I doubt the Police will be interested, nothing criminal has actually occurred yet.

Unless someone is scammed out of money, or the discs contain illegal !!!!!!, then there is nothing they can do. All that has happened, embarrassing as it may be, is a few DVD's have been posted out.
