I have too received these dvd's today... glad I'm not the only one to have received these in my name, saves me having to try and convince the mrs I really didnt order them! Very odd scam I must say.. they must be banking on people's embarrassment and getting these people to ring the number and "unsubscribe"...0

just thought i'd join in the group hug - i have also received 2 dvd's in the same envelope with the greenford return address.
must be a mass postage today - there must be a data protection issue here regarding where this company got all our accurate names & addresses!
we must all have something in common regarding a database we are on.
i would agree that NOT putting them in your PC & NOT calling the 0844 numbers are the correct thing to do.
perhaps Martin or any members who may be in the police can look in to this for us all?0 -
Ive received 2 discs this morning, very concerned who has my details.
It comes from the same address as everyone else.
Im not calling number or using the disks on a PC.
Who can i report this to?
Can the POST OFFICE tell us who this is as they are all PrePaid envelopes.0 -
It's interesting that it looks like a number of people have been getting them today, and surprising how fast google seems to have indexed the thread
MSE Forum's URL will be marked in Google as a highly popular and frequently changing site, making Google index it extremely frequently. My seldom-visited and seldom-changing site is lucky to get indexed once every six weeks, in contrast it appears that MSE Forum is indexed every hour. Makes sense, coz MSE Forum is the in the top 100 most visited sites by UK citizens.
Disclaimer........ Since you did not recently order from BID TV then I just want to say that I no longer believe that BID TV has anything to do with this whatsoever and BID TV are legitimate -- it was only a vague theory I wanted to explore.0 -
Just got in from work, envelope with 2 dvds, with very hardcore images on the disks, glad my youngest didn't open the post ....the north will rise again...0

Hi. Same issue here. Received both discs. Finding this forum and noticing no one checked the discs, i checked them on my portable dvd player (as it is not connected to the internet), one shows a 2 sec scene and then (both) require you to call one of two numbers to receive a pin to access scenes. So hopefully that points to the scam only being set up through either of these numbers or the unsubscribe number.
On a other note. i use sites like amazon, zavvi, play and recently CDWow to purchase goods. Is there a chance that a seller through one of these sites might have gotten our information?0 -
When I first called the police he suggested calling them. I do not think that was good advice! I would say do not call them and as said do not put in computer.0

I'm another recipient of these two discs - has me concerned about where they've sourced my full name and address as I'm pretty careful with my details. Will keep a close eye on this thread to see if anyone gets any answers.0

Yep we got them today as well. I enter comps through MSE and recently started entering a couple in my husband's name (with his knowledge) for prizes that he may be interested in.
So funny today when the post came and I said 'oooo you might have won a prize' only for him to rip the envelope open and 2 DVDs to fall out exactly as described in previous posts. Must admit I gave him a funny look but he was adamant he knew nothing about it.
So googled address and found my way here. So he is in the clear :rotfl:Growing old is unavoidable. However, growing up is still optional.0
