I have a photo of my feet - I will try and work out how to post it later and you can all have a laugh!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Defo want to see the feet
- mine are pretty gross right now with lots of extra dead skin and my toenails keep breaking - but then they never were particularly nice anyway from years of abuse so I'm not too worried...
Oooo just been playing with race calculators...if, and its a big if, I can run 1:20 on Sunday that puts me into 3:45 territory for marathon times - only 15 mins to work off over 14 weeks - exciting I had no idea I was that close - and it says that my half time based on a 1:20 should be 1:47 and since I've already done a 1:50 its looking pretty good from here right now.
If I can do 1:25, which is more likely, that puts me at 3:59 which means much more work to do - lets hope its a good race0 -
Lol Becky, those times for 10 mile and hence marathon times are both very familiar with me. I Should be dropping below 1:25 for my next 10 mile race just nt sue how far below. I'll find out in 5 weeks time.
Only jogged home from work the last 2 nights as oddly after tuesdays fartlek sess my left foot was hurting so i've been taking it easy up til now.Debt free Nerd number 1122 LBM Jan 2009 Debt @ LBM £40,086.88 (14/01/09)

Exciting KM (not the bad foot though obviously)
This is the first time I've been fit in my life or done any running so its all such a shock to me - not that I havent worked hard - I have, but when I tell people about the 3:30 target they looked really shocked and make noises like 'you should set yourself a less ambitious target' so it'll be nice to finally get a race under my belt that proves I'm getting there if that makes sense0 -
Shocking news, just in:
I actually went running today.
Did 5 miles in 40:22 and have to say it was pretty hard work...but I can't decide if that's because I'm rusty after christmas, or just because that's not *really* that bad a pace...
Anyway, onwards and upwards from here...that's over 2100 calories burnt the last 3 days (footy yesterday and tues), which is a lot better than nothing...0 -
Well done Idio - I'd say that was a fair old pace, but you've put in 45 min or so times for 10K before havent you??
Mind you footy yesterday could easily be having an effect - you'll have to go out tomorrow as well and see if that makes any difference0 -
well i think one thing is for sure my 3m time will be safe in morning...heavy legs day all day long :rotfl: ..
sorry about your trip hypno06.Cabbage Patch 09 - 10m - 1hr 06mLeicester 09 -1/2 - 1h 26m0 -

Put those feet away Becky!
Relax about the time - you've already done 1-25 for 10 miles with no race conditions....and continued on for a further 3 miles!:D
So add together the effects of drafting, the fact that you will be pushing hard in miles 8, 9 and 10 and the general lift you get from race conditions and you will be heading towards 1-20!!:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Well done Idio.
Theres nothing wrong with that pace - just remember that the Swansea 10K pace was just about the same as your training run today, so it cant be that bad!:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
