JJ - 35 sit ups in a minute (Becky goes to lie down :D)

Ukevas - my excuse is weedy arms :D

I'm 5,6 and a size 8 - getting closer to a 6 all the time too ;) - although I can climb well so my power to weight ratio cant be that bad!

The secret is just keep trying, when youve been doing the circuit training that we get to do its easy to get used to doing them. I can get around the 40 mark in a minute and 35 situps in a minute as well.

Yeah, practice makes perfect, really - if you add doing them to a daily routine, you'll find you start to be able to do them really quite quickly.

Can do about 15 at the mo, but could easily do 100 back in the day, just because I used to do them quite a lot for tae bo, judo etc.

    Press-ups are easy,

I use to do 10 pressups as a warm up before working the arms on the machines, then 10 before each other machine. Then after the session do as many press-ups as you can until you can do it no more, usually about 3-4.

I find that if im struggling to do press-ups, after about 20 i go onto my knuckles which must use another part of the arms, as i can go for another 20. Another thing i do is open my legs, gives me more stability.

If you really want to push yourself, look at the wall in front of you, not look at the mat, keep the head up and you feel the pain in the back of your neck / back, but when you put the head down it becomes easy again..

I'm the same, with sit-ups I can build to 50 over a period of time but with press-ups 20 is a struggle and always have been!:o
