  • Alias. i work in eng co-ord for scampton. As for the fitness progression iv been put on the 12 week program and am 6 weeks into it, so ill be due a retest around valentines day, so this is my main aim at the moment, but i wouldnt mind doing the lincoln 10km. Do you know how much it is this year? I cant find it online yet.
I was ment to be going out this morning for a 5km but i felt so tight and stiff this morning after doing a 5km then circuit training in the same day, i think i over did it a little bit yesterday.
Rich good time on the 10km today, iv had a look at the link you put up and iv decided that would have been last but at least i would have got a finishing number LOL

Just a rough idea, really, as a "target for this year" - training PB is under 50 mins now, so you'd like to think (once I get back into shape following xmas) a 45min race time isn't too unrealistic. So, by the end of the year, I'd have thought 40 mins was doable - otherwise I won't have made a whole lot of progress...

40 minutes is very doable for you - you're looking at a 50sec/mile improvement from 45 mins. With the right speedwork over a few weeks you'll manage that!:D

    Fab running there Sallyx!!!

I'm so so so tired - think my 8 miles on Wednesday evening has caught up with me - I need to do a long run tomorrow though so am inclined to rest tonight.......or is that me being lazy

    Rest is good.

Whenever i've had a injury layoff i nearly allways come back faster than before hand. Its the body having a longer time to recover and build itself up better basically.

Will be having a go at working out what i spent running last year this weekend, its gonna be a bloody huge figure and is the main reason why i'm here in the first place.
