Ooo just read back through the posts I missed during the day - very well done Sally.

8 miles is a good workout at any speed and shows that you can still be ready for FLM.

What did you think of the new plan btw. Too hard/too easy/just right?

Rich plan looks spot on and am sure I can manage the 10 miles tomorrow :) Am in the mindset that if I don't stick to it now then I won't be able to run the LM...so its my choice to get my !!!! in gear. Just need to loose that 1 stone too and all will be good!

Hypno you need to buy some compeed plaster type things. They are expensive but like a second skin and they don't move or come off. I ran the bristol Half with them on after getting a huge blister on my heel.

Well Done Rich - any news on your time yet??

Nice running Hypno - its always tough to get pace on a trail because your rhythm is thrown off by the uneven ground so the fact that you were out of breath isnt a surprise!

Not spilling yet - still investigating but lets just say it has do with London 2010 so is dependent on me running 3:15 in Venice, hence why I want to wait until FLM09 is out of the way first - if I'm miles off 3:30 then there's no point even thinking about anything else first :D

I've got some lovely kit for Xmas but unfortunately I have a bad back, I've no idea how it happened but pain right across the bottom of my back. Hopefully it won't last too long.

Well done on all your continued progress, can't sit at computer too long as very hurty so will read all your news another day. x

evab - hope your back is better soon.

    becky - spoilsport......

sally - I had one compeed plaster left, so cut it in two - one for each foot, but it obviously wasn't big enough because both plasters moved.......as a result I have blisters along my instep - the one on the left foot is 3 inches long......no kidding. I am in agony!!!!!

Hypno - well done. Despite the underfoot conditions and weather you have kept a pace going there that you couldn't have done a while back over that sort of distance. In good conditions the same effort would have yielded an even better pace!:D

Sally - I'm glad the plan looks okay. Cant wait to see how the 10 miles goes tomorrow, but you should be okay as long as you didn't push too hard yesterday!

No news on time yet, but Leeds have been the last to post results in recent weeks about 4pm. Position 17th anyway.

Thanks, having plugged my garmin in to my laptop, I could see that my miles were very even paced too, so that is encouraging, whereas previous runs have been of quite wide variance due to setting off too fast! Hopefully I am learning!

    Rich, 17th sounds pretty good......:D

Oh has anyone else bought the Guardian today - Paula's training plan is in it - actually only 130-140 miles a week and only one long run - out twice a day most days on a 8 day cycle...very interesting...also there's tips from Liz Yeliing on how to improve your technique and a comp to win a weekend training with her...

Go out and buy it now I reckon :D
