And that is where the endorphins and the real buzz comes from - reaching a fitness that you just never expected.:D :D

The thing is that once you start believing that you can improve beyond all recognition by doing regular training you want more and your appetite for training grows. At the same time your easy runs will keep getting easier (and faster).

Once you really believe that training will transform you, the indifference or reluctance to train is a thing of the past!:D

Glad it was so enjoyable, you'll definitely want more of those feelings!

    Thanks guys!

the endorphins have been replaced with the "blimey, I'm tired" feelings! So, off to make a hot water bottle and snuggle under the duvet!

Not sure if i run faster in the morning or evening. My fastest time is my 10k time which was a evening race. Have been known to be out at 5am doing 5-6 mile tempo pace runs around the local area. As i work shifts i'll go out 10am ish when doing evening shifts although i do run home after work around midnight quiet often. When on days i'll run home from work or go out in the early evening around 6-7 pm. Weekends varies depending on what i am doing and how far i intend to run.

  • Morning All.
Well iv just done my first outdoor run. Got out on the roads at 6am, it was really nice and calming.
I managed to do 5.15km according to mapmyrun in a time of 31.08min. so im very happy especially after doing 5km on the treadmill the afternoon before.
I think im a convert to morning running now it was so peacefull and wonderful to be out at that time with nobody else around.

    Good morning, fellow running nuts!:D

Another nice flowing early morning run in perfect weather conditions!

This 12 miler is a tougher course than yesterday's 10 miler with 2 climbs up the 400ft hill rather than 1 - so it classes as a kind of pseudo hill session.

It builds up a decent appetite for breakfast anyway!:D

No 6am girls today, or at least if there were, they were avoiding me! :p

Well done jj - weren't you the one that was calling me a little mad for enjoying 6am running?:p Becky is going to be pleased when she gets back to see how many converts she has created!:D

Gah to all you morning runners!

I was trying to work out what time I would have to start running if I were to do a morning run - and it would have to be 5am which is just silly!

I need to get the kids up and out to school, and have to leave for work at 7.30, so can't really see how I could run any later, and still get everything ready!

Shame, because my evenings are also so busy with everything that I am tired at that point, so to get the run out of the way early on would actually help I think.

I enjoyed my Sunday run at 7.30 this week, which is why I considered the early weekday runs......

I don't ache after yesterdays run, but I am really tired today, so will probably do 4 or 5 miles this evening. I need to move my long run from Sunday to Saturday this week because of DS's ski training, so either need to have a rest day today or tomorrow I think....

Hope everyone (who has not been up running with the larks) has a good run today!
