A little later in the day than originally intended, because I didn't want to set an alarm this morning to get a really long sleep!:D

Did the 18 miler, which was the same as the midweek 12 miles with a third lap added on. It was like the 12 miler in more ways than one:
    a) The 10 mile time on both runs was 1:25:59! (how did that happen?:p )
    b) The overall pace on both runs was identical indicating no drop off in the later stages.
    c) The pulse was the same on both runs.

I didn't take any drinks on the run with it being a cool day and a steady run, so I was surprised just how good it felt in the later stages, the rhythm was still good and stride length wasn't shortening.

So I'm chuffed with runs of 8 miles, 12 miles, 14 miles and 18 miles all in an 8 day period and feeling fine!:D :D:D

    I think I'll have a drink now, I'm thirsty!:p :p

You're rocking it all over the place now, Rich :) Well done.

I can actually report a run, for once...Not in you guys' league these days, but a 10k in 52:40 got me out of the house, anyway :)

Oh and congrats on Evab for getting into reading half - that'll give you some motivation to get into more regular training I reckon :D

    Morning All,

Havent been for a run today (it is a designated off day anyway) - I was going to go out, but I've got a funeral tomorrow in Manchester so not really in the mood this morning (although I was awake at 03.20am!)...hope everyone has better running than me!
  • Rest day for me too, but I don't start my rest days at 3-20am!!
