I am sitting here watching the BBC's review of the olympics - very inspiring and very emotional!

Not quite in the same league, obviously (well, not quite anyway) but I will get out for a run this morning - just need to finish this coffee first, and wait for the children to get back from their paper rounds and then I will head out......or that is the plan, anyway! It is very cold out there today!

Good luck to anyone running today, and wrap up warm!

woohoo! That is a serious improvement!! I am so pleased with that!

I did a loop around our village 3 times and each loop has two or three shortcuts home if I need so I had the knowledge that I could always get home if it got tough, but I was playing games with myself to get past the next shortcut point........

Without the extra bit to get to and from home, each loop is about 2.25 miles, so if I can add an extra loop each week for the next few weeks I will be where I need to be!

I had just mentioned to OH that it is 17 weeks as well! Suddenly it doesn't seem far away - less than 4 months

Well done on your 6 miles :T My thighs feel the cold - I think I need to look for a pair of shorts that I can wear under my leggings.......
