30- Great progress. Doesn't it start to feel a lot easier once the weight comes off?:D

Beer Tins - Good to see you back, it seems a little while since you entertained us with your presence!!

Thanks! Well I hope to be doing a bit more running/posting soon. As well as the busy weekly schedule (including Badminton and football x3), the pavements and roads near me are pretty icy at the moment. Especially early in the mornings when I do most of my running. Once I find a new "safe for winter" route I'll be running more again. Or I could run through the city in my lunch break, though I'm put off by the thought of heavily breathing in lungfuls of London air!

    Good Morning All!

Hope you get out soon Beertins! Well done on the running MM2 - you're far braver than me :D

did my intervals this morning - 1 mile warm up, 3 x 7.30 miles and 1 x 8.30 (which I did sort of treat as a warm down anyway) and the total run is 5.6 miles...so the endorphins are just sinking in whoop whoop I'm happy since I couldnt even do three a few weeks ago :D

    Happy running everyone!

    Good morning everyone!:D:D

This week has been juggled about a bit to accomodate changes in location, with the intervals being moved to Thursday.

Anyway, I had a gut feeling that flat 10K race pace was now in the region of 41-42 minutes and this morning's session was an attempt to see if that was anywhere near the mark.

So I am thrilled to get that idea pretty much confirmed with the fastest 10K so far at 45:57 (previous best 48:23).

Fantastic session Becky - you're taking to this like a duck to water - you must feel great!:D:D

Well done rich - one of my "post marathon" targets is to get a 10k under 50 mins.......my previous best was 52 mins so it IS achievable with a bit of focus, I am sure!

That, and a half marathon under 2 hours (best was in York, 1992 - 2 hours 4 mins) and I will be one happy returning runner!!!

    Anything is possible :D

Still full of a cold, so no running for me. I will take great delight in reading everyone else's progress instead :T

Can i join your club, my plan for 2009 is to improve fitness, and start running. I plan to run the lincoln 10k in may if i can..

Off and on ive run 5k's, some worse than other. Sunday was my first 5k for abit, and i really enjoyed it. Was nice to run after someone. Bad bit was some 10yr old kid beat me.

I did the 5k fun run in 22mins 53secs according to the clock. Just need one of them iPod things now, wonder if the case that goes onto the shoe comes with them.

Is there any sites i can plan my running route, instead of getting a map out and measuring it out. Its in the form of that I run to a place, turn round and run back. a) as i run there, and either walk / run back, b) if i run back i get home faster (ensures motivation stays).

Ive been looking at the BUPA running planner, and i dont know where to put myself. In work i have gym time about 1-2times a week which include circuits, lots of running, press-ups, sit-ups etc. Though never really any outdoor running. I think im top-end beginner, as i can run about 3k at a good pace, then begin to fade (walk 30secs, run 3mins, walk 20secs, run 3mins) etc..

    Guess i'll start the list

    Sun 7th Dec - Skegness 5k fun run in 22m 53s.
Mon 8th Dec - Day of rest
    Tues 9th Dec -
