Um is it just me?? - I start drinking at 9 am and get up at six or seven anyway to open pressies - not sure where I'm going to fit a run in - plus I almost always go out on xmas eve hmmmmm :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
I definitely be missing new years day though - jet lag and a hangover um no thanks0 -
That's a perfect idea hypno! just the incentive I need to get me out on the streets over the cold period

I posted my motivational poster a few weeks ago but now I have a new one, Since joining this forum and running to the "couch to 5k" plan thing I am now a whole stone lighter in just 3 weeks.
I'm as pleased as punch and my training is coming on nicely for the bupa10k in may.
I have just caught a cold though and have that aching in my bones today that never seems to shift, but I'm still gonna be out there come lunch time!Debts:

WOW 30 thats amazing - well done you!!!!
You must be walking around like this all day - -

Don't run too hard if you're not feeling great though - you've plenty of time before May so just take it easy in the cold!0 -
Thanks Becky, I'm just so worried about skipping any runs, i'm really in the zone with my training and eating right now that I feel even a little deviation could lead to a full blown relapse of my old habits.
I also have a 25 mile walk to do on Sunday so I hope I feel a bit better by then

Hi all, just checking in. I haven't posted in a while, as I haven't been running. Well, not in the sense that we talk about here. I'm playing football 3 times a week and Badminton once a week at the moment. Coupled with a very busy December, it means I haven't had the time. I'll do my damnedest to get out for a run this week anyway. I'm sure all the footie will have helped my speed work, but I should really be covering some more miles to start the build up to my half Mara in March. Glad to see you're all doing well!Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0

P.S. Yes 30, try to rest and don't do any hard runs until the cold goes. You could actually reverse your progress by doing it. As a worst case scenario you could permanently reduce your lung capacity.Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0

thanks beinerts, I want to take it easier but the training schedule calls for a harder run today
I will definatly back-off though if it feels like too much. I'm in this for the long haul so I don't want to kill myself too early

Just got back from my run, it was hard but I made it, the worst bit was feeling like I had a legitimate excuse to stop
