Hello everyone and welcome to the new people! Not been on as I hadn't run for a couple of weeks due to holiday and then having cough/cold. Back out there last night, did just under 5 miles, not sure on time but it was a bit slow as I was trying to avoid the icy patches!! Legs are feeling it a bit this morning but good to be back into it.

Ooh and I'm getting new trainers for Christmas :D

  • Good morning everyone!:D

A bit bleary eyed this morning, so the steady 10K became, ahem, even steadier than usual. Okay, it didn't happen but a good night was had so a 9-15 wake up for a 8-45 start kind of makes the 6-30 run a bit ambitious!

Hope everyone is feeling good (and fit) this morning!

did my 5 miles fartlek this morning, very very icy underfoot and found the breathing hard in the freezing cold. 5 miles in 45 so pleased with that. Also its a route where its uphill lots and the downhill bits I nearly broke my neck on the ice. LAst time I ran it the time was 53 so 8 mins off!
I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....
    Finally Debt Free...

I was reading something last night (long after I should have been in bed) about waking up early, and training your body to do it. The website I was reading did give some good tips so I will be trying them out over the next few weeks/days. They did include going to bed at a reasonable hour, so I'll have to make an effort there :o . (Becky has already got this part off to a tee, with her usual bedtime being 6.30pm :p )

It was interesting though, and I look forward to the quiet time when I can get things done without interruption, not facing rush-hour traffic on my drive to work, feeling prepared and in control, etc, etc.... and I might even be able to sneak in a little morning run as well.
