I am terrible for going to bed early - usually about 9.30-10! But it makes sooo much difference to me that I think its worth it - not just on running but I find I actually want to get out of bed in the mornings instead of being sluggish and slow - you should try it for a week Chick and see0

Yes, I was only half taking the mickey
, I do intend to try it. I'll let you know how it goes and if I feel any different. The website gave other tips for getting up early.
- Move your alarm clock so you have to move more than just your arm to switch it off;
- Never, EVER hit the snooze button. You will only fall into a short sleep and wake up groggy;
- Give yourself something to look forward to, even if it just using your 'special' shower gel;
- Have your clothes ready the night before, so you don't have to make that crucial 'what to wear' decision;
- Move your wake up time forward only by 15 minutes at a time so your body has a chance to get used to the new routine.

Although I recommend not 5.30 - its too early even for me
, I just about make it out running by laying everything out the night before in a certain order (shhh I even sleep in my running gear sometimes
)...

Great work everyone, Poorbabe your trip sounds fantastic - well done.
I'm stuck at home again but dh back tomorrow so will definitely get out when he gets home. I really miss running.
My dds childminder saw me out on Sunday morning and thinks I'm completely mad but her daughter said 'that's why she's getting her figure back', lovely to think I'm getting back to being slim and healthy again.
Keep it going all!0 -

Talking about getting up early, i get up at 5-45am usually for work, leave the house at about 6-30am for a 1hr drive to work, arrive about 7-20am, start at 7-30am, finish work at 4-30pm, drive home for an hour, get back about 5-40pm ishy due to traffic.
Then, see the kids, pick up little one, then head out about 6-30pm for a nice 30min run. Back for 7pm, stretch and walk outside,then from there pick up little one again, have tea, watch eastenders which cooling, shower then soon time to goto bed...
Though, for the next week ill be getting up at 5am (showering before bed you see), then leaving the house at 5-15am to be in work ready to go for 6-30am, pull a 12hr shift then drive back for the hour, and still get out on foot..0 -
Alias - you are officially mad
