Cheeky Idio - you're only a year younger than me arent you!!!! I slipped on my housemates bottles of stuff (she has about 20 lined up on the bath rim and i was trying to climb over them and my foot went one way and my knee crashed onto the bath rim...) I'm sure it'll be fine tomorrow anyway
Rich - 14 miler at 7am, then Skating at 11 or 12, then lunch, then partying - drat I really wanted to do that then I dont have to get up early on Sunday and I can drink Saturday night (I am not running with a hangover again after last week)...hmmmmm0 -
But a 14 miler at 7am will last until about 9-30.
My 14 miles last Sunday went well so I didnt suffer too much, but I still wouldnt have been ready for ice skating 2 hours later, all that falling over and getting up sounds like a lot of effort:p.
But we know you're tough, so maybe you can have a little rest in the afternoon instead (just that like they do in all the best nursing homes;)).Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Mmmm afternoon snooze!
Ice Skating is only 45 minutes anyway, and I wont be falling over if I can help it and look its soooo pretty:

I'm going to give it a go - I was really wondering about whether not having a rest day would effect it, but if I take it easy tomorrow and then go slowly and just get the distance in then I should be fine I reckon0 -
Becks that does look really good to go and have a go at, just a shame its about 300 miles away from me. Could start running now and get there just before it shuts LOL

Exciting!
Thanks - hows the running been going?0 -
Didnt bother going out this mornign due to me haveing circuit training at 12, so didnt want to push it too much today, but if the curcuits not that hard then i may go for a couple of miles after!!! lol proberbly not im just to soft!
They have just put up a ice rink in the centre of lincoln but its about 3 steps wide and about 4 wide so its not really worth the cost.Running Club5KM - 25:20(51.21%) 10KM - 53:40(50.26%)1/2 Marathon - 2.14.57(44.20%)Marathon 5:11:00 (40.78%)0 -
Good afternoon runners.
Hows everyone done over lunch?
I didnt bother with running after the curcuit training, it was an overload on the muscles and running inbetween, so im suitabley knacked to start work again.Running Club5KM - 25:20(51.21%) 10KM - 53:40(50.26%)1/2 Marathon - 2.14.57(44.20%)Marathon 5:11:00 (40.78%)0 -

Weds26/11 10K 53:44 (Pulse 96)
Thurs27/11 8.0 Miles 1:07:26 (Pulse 100)
A wet, drizzly one today but just as refreshing as yesterday.
I couldn't help overhearing two women as I passed, one said to the other 'I dont know why people are so stupid as to run in this weather!'
Ah well, so I'm stupid - its not as though its new news!:p
Anyway the run in 1:07:26 was just the fastest 8 miles so far (previous best 1:08:49 on a 108 pulse), so a good solid run.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

I'd have been tempted to stop for a chat...
"Actually, when you think about it, your body gets very hot when you're out running, so it actually makes far more sense to run when it's a bit cooler..."
..or something like that
Anyway, good time for the 8miles, you keep cranking it up, don't you!
I've had quite a poor week running wise, but you get some slow ones, I guess. Gonna do a 7 at lunch tomorrow, though - running in a group, so it won't be fast, but every mile counts.
Determined to get all the way round the 15 at the weekend, too!0 -

Yep, its always the temptation to say something like that, Idio. But after years of running you just let it pass over. I get the impression that the subject could equally have been anything else that moved past and created a talking point:
'I don't know why children are so stupid as to go to school in this weather...'
'I don't know why people are so stupid as to drive in this weather.....' etc.
It would make about as much sense!:p
15 at the weekend? Wow, now who's getting ambitious?:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
