Hi everyone, Just been out for a run with my ladies running & nattering group. Really enjoyed the gossip and the running wasn't bad either. 6.5 miles in 58:56, whilst talking about kids, dogs and damaged chimney pots! Am off out for the day tomorrow and then away for the weekend so I'll not be on here.
(starts trembling mildly at the thought of being away from MSE....)
Have a good rest day Rich, and enjoy the running to all who plan to run in the next day or two.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

Evening all
I did my first 'official' run tonight as promised.
According to mapmyrun it was 4.17 miles in 38min30s. I have no idea if that is good or appalling!!0 -

I have been back to the website to check and its definitely right
I do do a lot of short, fast running at a military fitness training class that i do 2 or 3 times a week. Maybe that has effectivly been speed training me. I have also done a lot of cycling this summer so i am starting from quite a fit base.
It is just the stamina over a longer period that i seem to lack. I was pretty knackered when i got back this evening but feel fine now. Will see how i feel tommoro, i have military training at 10am on Saturday so might have tommoro off.
Thanks for the comment Idio, good luck for your run tommoro0 -
