Hello all, had my weekly session of paying money to get knocked about till I'm black and blue last night.

Well at least you're not famous - so it shouldn't make the tabloids. ;)

Welcome to jjwhittle and findingmyownway. I'm sure you'll find the folks on here very friendly and happy to share their experience. Just take it easy at first and try to enjoy it. My best few words of motivation - The hardest step is getting out of the door - once you have got that far the rest is easy. And you'll never regret going out for a run (unless you get bitten by a dog......;) ) By the time you're home, warm and dry, the buzz you'll get is like nothing else!

Enjoy yourselves, and please let us know how you are getting on.

My mate Max got into the papers for something similar. All for a bit of innocent [STRIKE]Naz[/STRIKE] German themed fun. What's wrong with that, I ask you? :rotfl:

If you cant quite afford your next session, maybe we could have a whip round for you?

  • Mon17/11 7.0 Miles Brisk Walk
    Tues18/11 3 x 1 miles 6:56, 6:57, 6:54 (Pulse 136) (Average 6:56)
    Weds19/11 10K 49:56 (Pulse 122)
    Thurs20/11 8 Miles 1:08:49 (Pulse 108)

I enjoyed that 8 miler, more because there was no after effects from the previous two day's efforts as much as anything else.

Its the fastest 8 miles so far (previous best 1:10:42), going through 10K in 52:30 and it was supposed to be an easy run. Well it was an easy run, on a 108 pulse, but its great to see the mileage feeding through into strength so well.

And whats more, tomorrow I get a complete rest day - the first for weeks.

Having said that, I did have two abandoned sessions last week, so I'm showing willing.

But make your mind up man, I'm too lazy cos the pulse isn't high enough and now I'm working too hard!;)

What was that 10K time I have to beat again?:p
