Oh for goodness sake this has got out of hand, I think that we should all let this drop as it's not helping anyone and making this brilliant thread really negative.

Everyone's situation is obviously different so lets not comment any further on that but get back to our walks, runs, swims or whatever else we're doing.

that's a good point, apart from weekends I'm running in the dark. Do you think they'd move the start time of the race so it's night time?:D

I completely stand by the comment you pasted from me in the post on the previous page.

There are clearly a number of people who were offended/upset by various posts yesterday. I actually don't believe for a moment that you or anyone else set out to offend anyone, but as I said, even if you consider something to be factual, it can still be hurtful if it hits a raw nerve.

As an aside, you didn't respond to my post to you yesterday, so your comment 'I am bemused and quite frankly stunned that people don't want to debate points' is a little unfair. My post DID disagree with yours but was NOT offensive - it would have been nice to have at least been acknowledged.

I'm sorry if you feel you have taken the brunt of the personal attacks and I hope you WILL continue to post, as your running experience and support has been valuable to many on here I am sure.
