Been up to my mums for a few days and got some good running in.
Just been out now and it felt like running through treacle. Must take the rough with the smooth I suppose.
Must check out some races. There is nothing more motivating than having something to aim for.“The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.” Eckhart Tolle0 -
Hi all, everyone having a good weekend? We haven't been out at all as DD has a cold and a nice gravelly voice which sounds cute on a 2 year old.
Didn't go out yesterday as irksome weather, DH went out for a short plod and was drenched within a couple of minutes.
So I'm going out in a while, rain not too heavy today.
See you later0 -
Hi Evab - I think children with a cold sound cute
Hope you enjoy your run, I went this morning and we managed 7.5 miles and it was just continual drizzle, it was quite nice as we weren't drenched and not too sweaty.
Supposedly got the Race for life tomorrow if it goes ahead, depends on the rain.
Hope you enjoy a nice glass of wine when you get back, I am lined up with rose wine and Harry Potter as my reward0 -
HI BA luckily daughter isn't feeling too bad so playing happily, it's been funny listening to her laughing and is great at the donkey noises!
No pennies to get wine or anything else this week, have £3 left until I get paid on Friday managed to do a weekly shop that cost £19 yesterday so OK for food and only need petrol for Monday and Tuesday as working from home the rest of the week.
Your doing well with your runs, I seriously need to pound the streets as race will creep up on me. Going out to do 4 miles this evening and then 6 miles tomorrow.
Have a good evening with your wine and book, never read a single HP yet!0 -
Oh and hope R4L isn't canceled tomorrow, have a good one!0

Good morning everyone hope the sun is shining for you today, went out for 4 miles today was supposed to be 6 but legs felt really tired. Ending up having a really good run and enjoyed every minute of it! Must be mad.
Sound track of the day: lots and lots of Ash again, really good tempo to run to.
Scenery of the day: ran along main road from Prestatyn to Rhyl and it has a fantastic view of the sea, hills and lots of farms - had a little smile on my face, so glad we moved here.:T
Plan for the week:
Monday: 4 miles
Tuesday: Hill work
Wednesday: Rest
Thursday: 4 miles
Friday: Speed work
Saturday: Rest (have lots of family coming up so good excuse not to run)
Sunday: 6 miles

Afternoon all, hope your weekend is going well. BA - good luck for your Race and fingers crossed it goes/ went ahead! Evab - hope little un is getting over her cold. That sounds like a nice run, have been to Prestatyn a few times so can picture that - lovely!
I did a couple of miles gentle jog on Friday evening to wind down after work, then a quicker 3.5 miler yesterday which felt great, think I'm getting back into it all. Not found a race yet, will have to get on to that, thinking I might try to find a couple of 5ks for Autumn then aim for a 10k early next year.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
:hello: Well done Evab and RS.
I did my RFL, wasn't a full 5km as they had to change the route due to weather, think it was about 2.5 miles in all and we did it in 21 mins :j :j Bit scary and intimidating as we found ourselves (inadvertently) at the front of the race  and we finished about 5th and 6thbut only because we didn't get stuck behind anybody - felt very odd just a few of us running alone and being clapped but it was good fun. We started with 4 teenage girls who enthusiastically legged it at the beginning and within about 100 metres they were walking with stitch bless them. Made me feel bit sad though as you realise how many people have suffered due to cancer and reading the fliers on the back was quite emotional. My best friend has terminal cancer so I ran for her and I think she was quite pleased, I found her heckles of "run faster fat !!!!" quite encouraging :rotfl:
Enjoying cake and a cup of tea now x0 -
Well done BA - definitely deserving of cake
:T Glad you had a good one. I know what you mean about reading the signs on people's backs, so sad.
Got delayed reaction sore legs this morning from the weekend (more to do with dancing and wandering about on Saturday night than the running I think).. so having a rest today then will run Tues and Thurs.
Have a nice day xDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
