Hiya guys,
My sister is having a bit of trouble, she's not well and has to move house, be out by the 28th so I'm going to help. it's a rush to get booked and ready by then, but she'd do it for me, not very mse but needs must eh.(I'm flying on the 19th OMG must pack, if I forget anything I'll just pinch her cloths he he)
Not much time for walking but doing usual 2.5 and getting faster, wont have much time over there as packing cleaning on the way out and then unpacking and cleaning going in and apparently I'm also cheif cook and bottle washer, how to fit in exercise OMG and rich, just wondered, if I'm walking/running in oz, because I'm up side downish, does that help with speed, being lighterish iykwim:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Morning
I went for a run with Tigtag this morning, just a short one (just under a mile and a half) but it was good - I felt 'in the zone'. Compared to how I felt on Wednesday, when I was struggling after half a mile, the difference was amazing.
Is it okay to go running twice in the same day? I would really like to run a couple more miles today, because I was feeling great whilst I was running and felt like I could have done a lot more."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Yeah I think you will be ok Snaggles as it was a reletively short one this morning. Its all good even if you don't manage to get out againI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Back from my 12 miler..
Felt like I was going so slow today but having looked at results I was going at quite a good pace.
Didn't manage the 12 miles running got to mile 8.5 ish and had some niggles so rather than doing the 12 miles just to say I did it I stopped and power walked the remaining miles. Overall pace though averaged out at 11.31 so pleased considering the walking I did. 2:18 total time.
Oh and even better news is first week on Overweight Marathon Mummy goes:-
Monday Brisk Walk 4 miles
Tuesday Walk 3 miles
Friday Easy Run 4 miles
Sunday Easy Run 12 miles
Total miles 23
Weight loss 4lbs:j
Here's hoping week 2 is another good one.I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Sallyx, that 12 miles is still pretty impressive, even with the power walking. I am working on the principle that if I run steadily, I am not so out of puff that I can't power walk the rest if need be.
Whereas if I do a lungbuster and then feel like I can't go on half way round, I have to wander back and overall it takes me far far longer.
Sort of tortoise and hare thing really, I suppose!
As for the weightloss - that is amazing! My scales don't show a difference, but I am fairly sure I am losing some flabby bits (still a lot of flab to go, but every little bit of progress is motivating in itself!).
Off to plan a 10 miler for next weekend.......it will probably be the same run as today but with an extra little loop added on somewhere that can become "optional" if need be!
I will be very pleased if I can do 10 miles at my 11 min mile pace. To be able to say I have got from 0 to 10 miles in 6 weeks would be fab!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Afternoon all, have had a not bad run...
3.5 miles in 52 minutes....! not quite the 4 miles i hoped for but pleased enough... i ended up going in the opposite direction from my planned 4 miles and it is only 3.5miles... so fairynuff!
my tally for the week:
monday run 2.5
wed run 2.5
thu swim .5m
sat - swim recreational
sun - run 3.5miles
weight loss - nil... pah! maybe it will appear next week!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
The weightloss thing will happen Maz - it is just frustrating when the scales don't instantly reflect the extra effort we are putting in
Hang on in there - and 3.5 miles is fab :TSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
