oh Chick you lucky lucky thing finding a fiver! Every penny counts is what I say!
Rich another good run there, how far are you running on your long run tomorrow??
Im a bit scared about my 12 miles tomorrow. The last time I did a long run was 3 weeks ago and it was only 10 miles so I think I might struggle. Mind you I have to go out there with a positive mind that I CAN do it.
I feel like I've got a lazy week this week 'only' doing 10 miles, with both you and Becky going for 12 miles tomorrow!
You shouldn't have lost any ability to cover distance, but you may have lost some speed endurance so all you have to do is set off even more cautiously than you feel like doing.
At the end of the day you will be delighted to cover the distance tomorrow - so nothing else matters - as easy as you can. Having said that, if you can only manage 6 or 8 so be it - its not worth worrying about.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Good luck for the 12miler but please take it easy will ya... do what feels good.
i did a wee swimming session today but was at busy time for kids and inflateable slide thing was up, so Erin had a rare time doing the slides and i just did some swimming, trouble was it had to be breadths of the pool so too many to count them, but enough to feel like a wee workout...
running tomorrow, going to aim for an hour, so 4 miles at my pace!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
I will take it easy Maz, will see how it goes although I need to find a street lit route for the first 4-5 miles as I need to get out there early. Might have to take a torch!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Anyway, excuses out of the way, the highlight of today's run -- I found £5 on the pavement! :T . DS gets so embarassed if I pick up money from the pavement (calls me a penny-picker) but hey £5 is £5. I don't care TBH, I'll pick up anything! I wasn't in a good mood when I went out as DS wouldn't clean out his guinea pigs so I had to shout at him. I feel much better now, £5 richer, an marked improvement on my time, a couple of glasses of vino and a whole lot of endorphins (way hay
).
He was probably choked that you found it first. Either that or it wasn't a cool thing for his mum to do - but - he'd have done so if he was with pals. He'll definately be doing it when he's a bit older - if he's MSE minded.

Everyone is doing really well - those long runs are certainly a lot longer than they were a few weeks ago! "only 10 miles" indeed!! And as for finding £5 in the street, just how MSE can this running club get!
I am going to try and do 8+ this morning when the kids are skiing - steady ploddy but my longest distance so far tackled.
Good luck for those doing the miles today - will report back later (if I am still alive)Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
